Baking an Edge Map Using Ambient Occlusion in Blender

When it comes to shading hard surface objects in Blender, it’s very useful to isolate the edges of your model for wear and tear. There is a trick for achieving this with ambient occlusion baking. Kent Trammell demonstrates this technique on a sci-fi helmet model using Blender render.
