Infinity Ward is seeking an experienced Designer that is looking to lead the effort in creating gameplay systems, game modes and scripted events for an exciting new project.
Candidates must have experience with C-style scripting languages and have the ability to think like a programmer to solve problems and accomplish a vision. Furthermore you should be comfortable writing script to handle gameplay systems such as basic AI behavior, cooperative mechanics, weapons, and, scripted sequences.
Applicants should have the ability to show actual playable levels or gameplay systems that you have personally scripted for an existing title or personal project.

Requirements:

 Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of game industry experience
 Knowledge and experience with a C style programming or scripting language
 Strong game design skills: must be able to intelligently discuss the strengths and weaknesses of recent games and be able to list techniques used to make fun FPS combat
 Create and refine gameplay mechanics
 Passion for First Person Shooters, Console or PC
 Ability to collaborate well with your team
 Prioritize and meet deadlines
 Communicate progress with the lead designer well and frequently

Core Duties:

The Design Director manages the Design Department and drives the creation of compelling, 90+ rated, quality gameplay. Additionally, the Design Director acts as the arbiter of quality for the entire Design Department at Raven.

Responsibilities:

• Take primary responsibility for the development and maintenance of a world class design team, focusing on rigorous evaluation, training and development of the staff
• Maintain an active internship program with annual recruitment and selection of candidates followed by 12 months of integration on active teams
• Act as an in-house mentor and manager of the Design Department for level creation and combat design, offering leadership, guidance, assistance, and feedback on a regular basis.
• Work closely with the other Creative Directors to ensure high quality gameplay results across all modes.
• Task tracking and management alongside producers setting the expected scope of the work and quality expectations by agreed deadlines

Qualifications:

Animators in this role will be assigned to the Cinematics team with the potential to work with the AI team as well.

• Work directly with the department Lead and Senior Animators as well as Designers to identify and execute on the animation needs of the game.

• Follow group standards and best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with other disciplines including art, design, and audio.
• Manage day-to-day development issues; identify problems and drive creative solutions to fix them.
• Motion capture planning and assist in directing Stunt Actors for motion capture

• 2 – 3 Years Animation experience in the game industry with at least one shipped title.
