Associate Producer

Blizzard Entertainment’s audio team is seeking an associate producer to assist voice over (VO) and casting production for all of our franchises. Your primary responsibility will be coordinating with the VO producer and VO & casting director to maintain timely schedules and deliverables for all of Blizzard’s IPs. This includes assisting with the pre-production phases for all of the project’s VO and casting needs, as well as additional responsibilities such as creating contract requests, interacting with talent and supporting all needs of the VO producer and VO & casting director. Excellent organizational and communications skills are a must as you’ll be collaborating and working with contacts both inside and outside of Blizzard. Blizzard contacts include multiple development and support teams throughout the company (e.g., cinematics, public relations (PR), legal, web, creative development, community, marketing, etc.). Exterior contacts include recording studios, voice directors, talent agents, actors, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with the VO producer, casting and voice over director, and the audio production team to assist in the creation and maintenance of project schedules.
Help to continually refine the voice over development pipeline to increase production efficiency and quality.
Communicate status of voice over content, assets, tools, and features to VO producer and / or audio production director as necessary.
Manage, maintain, and organize digital archives of VO and talent paperwork and VO assets.
Schedule recording sessions with talent agents and recording studios.
Assist in scheduling of VO related personnel / resources, eg. directors, designers, editors.
Create talent paperwork for recording sessions.
Attend recording sessions and support VO director and talent needs.
Assist in the planning and execution of the voice actor’s stage at BlizzCon.

REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of 1-year experience in product development on AAA titles
Able to accurately and efficiently manage a large volume of tasks
Able to effectively coordinate with a large number of external contractors including studios, actors, and agents
Comfortable managing a large amount of talent paperwork and legal contracts
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent oral and written English communications skills
Willing and able to travel as needed including regular travel to LA-area recording studio for VO sessions
Self-motivated with an ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Able to work independently, and / or within a team
Computer literate and familiar with MS Office products, especially Excel (macro programming knowledge a plus)
Passion for video games

Back End TD

Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced back end technical director (TD) to join our cinematics team. The back end TD must have a thorough knowledge of lighting and rendering tools, look development, matte painting, compositing, and related industry standard workflows, as well as related cross pipeline tools and workflows. They will work with technical and artistic supervisors to determine workflows, tool requirements, and asset needs for the back end teams. This individual will also implement artist tools and workflow automation. They must be excellent communicators.

REQUIREMENTS

Thorough understanding of techniques and technologies relating to CG back end disciplines
Strong understanding of the CG production process, from asset creation to final compositing
Excellent working knowledge of RenderMan, Vray, Redshift, and / or other renderers
Clear working knowledge of lighting workflows and tools in CG Packages (e.g. Maya, Katana)
Proficient python development skills and debugging techniques
Outstanding problem-solving skills under pressure
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in developing tools, and implementing process improvements in a CG production environment
Very comfortable within a Unix / Linux environment

User Interface Artist

Art Director

Reporting to the senior art director, the art director will be their key partner in the execution of World of Warcraft’s (WoW) art. Project Audio Director

Project audio director is the vision holder and leads the audio function on a game team, has outstanding communication skills, strong leadership experience, and a proven track record of shipping AAA products in an audio director role. The project audio director will have expertise in audio design and production, with proficiency in sound design, music composition, and voice production and implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Engagement with top level game team leadership in the overall shaping of the game, with focus on how sound is a factor but also with engagement in all other aspects of the game.
Understanding the details of the game structure, mechanics, compulsion loops and overall player experience goals.
Direct people management of the sound designers on the game team, leading by example and providing both motivation and inspiration to the team members.
Own, articulate and evangelize the creative direction of sound design development.
Engagement with centralized audio team as the key customer for music, voice over and cinematic sound. Assumes the involvement in these sub-disciplines as a customer rather than as a director.
Work with the audio team and across disciplines to clearly define goals and articulate those goals on a studio-wide level. This includes engagement with public relations, marketing and other internal departments where appropriate.
Foster and maintain effective relationships inside and outside the audio team.
