Post Production Supervisor (Contract)


Brown Bag Films are actively seeking a unique Post Production Supervisor to join our in house Post Production team in the heart of Dublin.
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE: The Post Production Supervisor is a vital role within the Post Production Team. Reporting to the Post Production Manager, this role involves daily prioritisation of tasks and briefing for post personnel on specific high visibility productions. Our Post Production Supervisor will embrace cultivating a culture of high standard delivery as part of a unique and innovative studio.

Summary of the role:

Daily prioritisation of tasks and briefing for post personnel on project.
Delegating tasks to Assistant or Coordinator if one is assigned to the project.
Check that assistant is updating the daily KPD Updates.
Post Schedules Updates/Flags.
Compile reports to Post Manager and Producer.
Produce weekly Stats for Production Team.
Contribute to weekly Post Production and Production meetings
Oversee Post Co-ordinator liaising with in-house departments for footage and files.
Assist Post Coordinator team on projects when necessary.

Person Specification:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising in a post-production environment.
Solid working knowledge of CG animation workflow.
Experience in episodic post production deliveries significant.
Experience working with international broadcasters including track record in successful delivery
Excellent organisational skills with proven ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
Excellent scheduling skillset
Ability to work on own initiative in a fast paced environment.
Good communication skills and desire to work as part of a growing, multitalented team.

Producer (Contract)



Working in a busy creative environment, the Producer is responsible for producing a high profile 52 episode X 11 minute series in computer animation. The role involves managing an in house team as well as being responsible for a series budget.

Key Areas of responsibilities:

Creating and managing schedules and budgets, ensure schedules and budgets are met
Deliver (in collaboration with Finance) appropriate reporting to ensure all relevant stakeholders are kept updated on progress.
Liaising directly with TV Networks and responding to notes
Identifying, interviewing and hiring staff.
Responsible for supervising and managing both in house crew and overseas studio
Answerable to the Head of TV Production and Executive Producers

Person Specification/Requirements:

Must have animation series ‘Producer’ credit
Excellent understanding of a 3D computer animation Pipeline
Experience in managing long form animation productions across all departments
Excellent communication skills
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent organizational skills

Episodic Director (Contract)



The position of Episodic Director requires someone with a thorough knowledge of 3D Animation pipeline, with 5+ years of experience in a similar role working on broadcast or film projects. Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple tasks in a fast paced production.

Key Areas of responsibilities:

Partnering with the Supervising Director, the Episodic Director participates in all creative aspects and in all phases of the production to achieve the overall completion of a CG Episodic TV show.
Lead animatics and deliver assigned episodes through HD delivery
Script: consult with and advise the persons responsible for the writing the material the Project is based and carry out of all customary revisions;
Budget and Schedule: work with the Company to enable the Company to prepare a proper, comprehensive and detailed budget and schedule for the production
Pre-production: assist in all necessary preparations for the production in accordance with the approved budget and schedule
Direct the Project; direct the photography and recordings of the production as efficiently and economically as possible and in accordance with the final shooting script, budget and schedule
Post-Production: both during and after completion of the principal photography and recording of the production, organise and supervise the cutting, editing, post-synchronizing, scoring, dubbing, special and optical effects and titling, and the production of any retakes, added or substituted scenes of the production or cover shots

Person Specification/Requirements

5+ years of industry experience, preferably in CG animation for game cinematics, TV, or film.
Prior directorial experience preferred.
Strong, proven skills in storyboarding, animation camera composition, storytelling and animation timing required.
Working knowledge of CG animation and post production techniques and terminology required.
Bachelor’s degree in film, art or related field preferred.
Strong organizational and leadership skills. Strong communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal). Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of production crew, artistic staff and management.
Ability to establish priorities and multi-task efficiently within a high pressure environment while meeting strict TV deadlines.

Production Manager (Contract)


JOB TITLE: Production Manager

Key Areas of responsibilities:

Communicate clearly and regularly with Producer and Supervising Technical and Creative Team on the production status
Manage the animation and asset delivery to overseas animation vendor/s and in turn their deliveries back.
Manage the weekly visual asset deliveries
Help to plan and troubleshoot the pipeline for the production
Plan with the available resources to optimise the efficiency of each department in line with the schedule
Create and maintain a detailed weekly report for the production of the series and the individual departments
Ensure the production team understand the goals and deadlines of each assignment and key milestone deliveries

Person Specification/Requirements

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing Long Form Film/TV or Commercials and/or Animation productions
Strong experience in scheduling and managing Production teams across multiple departments
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Strong troubleshooting skills
Capable of motivating and leading teams with enthusiasm
Comfortable in working to tight deadlines
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particularly Excel (required)
Knowledge of asset tracking and data base software
