Level Designer

We are looking for a talented Level Designer in Krakow who will be responsible for preparing sketches and maps for new locations, building locations in the editor with existing meshes, tools and the help of environment artists.

Responsibilities:

Preparing sketches and maps for new locations (2d & 3d).
Building locations in the editor with existing meshes, tools and the help of environment artists.
Preparing parts of location for particular events.
Working very closely with the cinematics and quest implementation teams.
Preparing final quality locations.

Skill & Experience:

Experience in level designing with any game engine.
At least 2 years’ experience in a Level Designer position in gamedev.
Strong creativity and ability to match it with detailed and exact requirements from other team members.
Deep knowledge of game industry and level design in different games.
Some knowledge of real world geography and topography.
Fluent English.
Excellent communication skills & proven ability to work within a team.

Pluses:

Knowledge of 3DS Max or any other leading software such as Maya or Softimage Xsi.

Quest Designer

We are looking for quest designers who will be responsible for designing, planning and implementing quests in our game. The person in this position will be responsible for designing the game storyline on the quest level during the concept stage, and during the production stage they will be responsible for gathering assets from other departments and implementing them in quests. Quest designers are also responsible for the final quality of the quests that are implemented in game.

Responsibilities:

Creating the storyline on a detailed level.
Designing and planning quests for the game.
Planning assets required for creating a quest.
Implementing quests in the game engine.
Keeping high quality of quests in game.
Cooperating with other departments.
Creating design documentation for the project.

Required skills & experience:

Passion for and extensive knowledge of video games.
Creativity, and the ability to bring your ideas to life.
Experience with text editors, office software suites and graphics editors.
Basic programming skills.
Experience with game editors and game design tools.
Excellent communication skills.
The ability to work within a team.
Excellent work ethic and efficiency.
Experience in game design very welcome.

Pluses:

Extensive knowledge of Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels.
Literary or role-playing experience.
Previous experience in programming/art design/game testing.

Gameplay Designer

We are looking for a talented Gameplay Designer who will join our Krakow team in creating and tuning the rules of gameplay within our project. This person will work closely with our gameplay programmers on prototyping and implementing stages and will ensure that the gameplay functionality, the combat systems, as well as the overall gameplay experience are carried through to completion in the highest possible quality.

Responsibilities:

Designing game mechanics & combat choreography.
Implementing game mechanisms using our proprietary game engine and scripting tools.
Designing and implementing AI elements.
Designing enemy spawn points arrangement, as well as collectibles distribution and economics.
Creating design documentation and making sure its up-to-date at all times.
Follow and maintain pipelines and technical requirements.
Constant cooperation with programmers, quest designers and animators.

Required skills & experience:

At least 2 years experience in the game industry (with at least 1 published game in a gameplay/system design role).
Experience with game editors and game design tools.
Previous experience in flash design or UI design, as well as experience in making or modding games.
Basic programming skills in chosen programming or scripting language.
Good knowledge of English language.
Both analytic and creative thinking abilities.
Extensive knowledge of video games and gaming industry.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work and be efficient within a team.
At least one AAA RPG title shipped will be a strong plus.
