Job Description

The HUNT team is looking for a creatively minded and driven FX Artist who can communicate well with programmers to develop cutting edge particle and onscreen effects for games.
Candidate must be proficient in a diverse set of software including Photoshop, 3ds Max / Maya (or equivalent), etc. Experience with real time effects for video games is a necessity.
Sample pictures or portfolio link, which shows sample work are necessary.

Requirements:

3+ years of professional next-gen visual effects development on PC and console hardware (Xbox360, PS3).
Experience with and a good working knowledge of the limitations and expectations of next generation hardware.
Excellent working knowledge of 3D Max/Maya and Photoshop.
Excellent art sense (e.g. knowledge of composition, color, lighting, movement, etc).
Ability to work with multiple disciplines to meet project’s specific needs.
Capable of working both as a member of a development team and individually with minimum supervision.
Must have the ability to conceptualize, present, and execute ideas within a schedule, while actively participating in technical and artistic problem solving.
Ability to quickly understand custom toolsets and deliver assets within the confines of real time engine constraints and programming demands.
Organized approach to problem solving and time-management.
Good English communication and writing skills.
Keep a positive team-oriented attitude.
Be proactive and self-motivated, work without direct supervision.
Willing to relocate to Frankfurt am Main area, Germany.

Responsibilities:

Working with Level Designers, Artists and Programmers to create real time special effects for environments, weapons, explosions, onscreen effects, etc. within the platforms limitations.
Creation of real time particle systems via CryEngine.
Implementation and optimization of shader based effects (if needed together with shader programmer).
Collaboration with other FX-Artists on the team to ensure consistent quality across the game.
Texture creation using available graphic applications.
Population of effects in game using a CryEngine editing tools.
Solving technical issues that arise with new tools or game performance.

Preferences:

Experience with CryEngine and Sandbox Editor.
Strong understanding of real-time physics systems.
Experience with one or more scripting/programming languages.
Experience creating and configuring geometry assets for in game particle systems.
Experience with fluid simulations.

Balancing and maintaining consistent light levels across a variety of physically based materials and surfaces.
Finding, discussing and fixing material inconsistencies that might affect shading quality.
Collaboration with other Lighting Artists on the team to ensure consistent quality across the game.
Texture creation using available graphic applications.
Population of light entities and cubemaps in game using the CryENGINE Sandbox Editor and tools.
Creating dramatic, unique, and interesting day/night setups using the CryENGINE Sandbox Editor and tools.
Solving technical issues that arise with new tools or game performance.

Preferences:

Senior Producer

Crytek is looking for an experienced Senior Producer to support and enhance our team in our Frankfurt am Main, Germany based studio.
The role of the Producer is to ensure high quality in the overall product. You use your instincts and experiences to identify, assess, and solve problems quickly and frequently. You are detailed and organized. You never let anything fall through the cracks. You are clear, concise, and specific. When you participate in a meeting, you clarify, capture and follow up on all action items.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage and drive the creative vision for the project in collaboration with the Game Director, in which he or she reports into.
Management of assigned development budget on project or franchise.
Collaborates with the team on the creation of the projects milestone plan, sets objectives and priorities.
Liaise with the publisher, external partners and Crytek’s central teams.
Provide leadership to producers and department directors, act as a mentor, and ensure that milestones objectives are met.
Supervise the projects development to maintain its area of focus and the vision of the game.
Drive the creation and implementation of new game concepts that align with the vision objectives.
Coordinate, review and evaluate gameplay implementations and oversee the creation of up to date game requirements and design documents.
Build a strong working relationship with the game development team and help them with any obstacles to ensure that the game is “fun” and on time.
Participate by making recommendations on how to improve product quality as well as group productivity.
Mentor individuals from the development team, solve people-problems and apply motivation practices.
Coordinate, evaluate and react to feedback from the stakeholders and focus tests.
Coordinate and oversee the evaluation of competitive products and the inspiration this process provides.
Upon request from the company, attend trade shows and press events to represent the product and/or company.
If applicable coordinate with other studio groups, including art and production, to achieve project objectives.

Requirements:

At least 2+ years of professional experience in a Senior Producer capacity.
Experience in a producer role and/or Design experience on shipped AAA console products.
Passion for Games and knowledge of Games.
Strong cross-team communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple and sometimes competing priorities.
Must work well in a team oriented environment.
