IT Administrator (Contract)

Reports to: VP of IT
Location: Toronto, ON, Canada
Start date: October 2014


This position is responsible for providing computer and server support for our Toronto office. The position provides first, second and third level support and is responsible for ensuring the overall health of hardware and network systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

University degree in Computer Science or College equivalent;
Minimum 3 year’s experience in desktop support role;
Working knowledge of Windows XP/7, Windows Server 2008R2/2012, AD, DHCP, DNS, Office 2007/2013, Mac OS X, Linux;
Strong knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP routing, DNS, DHCP and LAN/WAN infrastructure;
Nice to have: Lync, Jaguar (Filmtrack), Dynamics GP, Backup Exec, SQL 2008/2012, Exchange 2013, Aspera, Cisco CCNA and experience in an entertainment related environment.

Position Responsibilities:

Provide primary support for the IT help desk;
Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair computer systems, hardware, peripherals and mobile devices;
Support and maintain user account information including rights, security and system groups;
Identify, research and resolve technical problems with attention to detail;
Maintain, upgrade and or replace hardware and software systems when needed;
Adhere to hardware, software and other IT related standards put in place by the VP of Information Technology;
Provide support for Mac users;
Setup users, configure phones and administer the Lync based phone and voice mail systems;
Setup Blackberry’s, iPhones, Android devices and iPads as well as troubleshoot issues that arise.

Professional skills: always demonstrates integrity and commitment to the organization and follows professional standards for the job;
Works well independently and in a team with minimal supervision.
