Accounting Manager

Description

Purpose of the job:

Digital Domain, the Academy Award-winning feature film and commercial visual effects studio located in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for its Finance Department, who will coordinate and manage key financial processes, including month end close, treasury needs and cash flow forecasting, financial planning, reporting and budgeting. This position will report directly to SVP, Corporate Controller.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Responsible for the day-to-day general ledger accounting and reporting
Ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP and internal controls
Responsible for the preparation, coordination, review and analysis of the management reporting package for month-end
Work with cross-functional teams to manage accurate accounting and reporting
Review and finalize Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet
Review and finalize variance analysis
Prepare and review Inter-Company allocations
Prepare and review account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules
Coordinate and review monthly, quarterly and annual statutory reporting

Education and/or Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA required
7+ years Accounting/Finance experience
Experience working with multi-business units within a global corporation preferred
Revenue Recognition Multiple Elements preferred
Experience in consolidation and preparing reporting package of full financials to parent company
Experience with Oracle Fusion a plus
Previous management experience with excellent leadership skills and hands-on management style

PR Manager

Description

Purpose of the job:

Drive publicity and corporate marketing programs to build and maintain positive visibility for Digital Domain 3.0 as a company and maximize visibility of the company’s work.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Develop and manage publicity campaigns for feature films, virtual reality, advertising and games, projects to secure consistent, high-quality, high-visibility media coverage
Manage all activities by external PR agency
Engage with business, entertainment, and general media to secure positive coverage of company news
Act as company’s media contact; prioritize/address all media inquiries
Liaise with and support parent companies’ marketing efforts; service international media inquiries
Oversee media section of company website; maintain and update regularly
Working with division coordinators, track, identify, and drive award submissions
Track, identify, drive, and prepare for speaking opportunities for executives, VFX supervisors, and artists
Play an active role in building company’s social media presence
Support internal communications (including Intranet) with writing/editing guidance; keep employee base apprised of company activities, media coverage, and industry news
Determines and recommends how to deliver and manage the information flow outside of the company to diverse audiences

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience Required:

College degree in communications and/or marketing or a related field, and/or a combination of education and experience equivalent to that level of professionalism, problem solving, and analytical skills required
7+ years work experience required in entertainment, preferably the VFX Feature Film, virtual reality and/or Commercials/Advertising industry

Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificate:

Knowledge base of current industry technology trends preferred
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Portfolio and writing samples evidencing successful PR and Marketing Campaigns required
Familiarity with visual effects industry is desired
Experience in production environment is desired
Ability to self-manage, and to prioritize and execute multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
International business experience a plus

Senior Marketing Manager

Description

Purpose of the job:

The Senior Marketing Manager will play a critical role in the planning and execution of the company’s marketing activities, including messaging, advertising, design, social media, events, website maintenance/development, SEO, product launches, customer references, partner marketing, support of the business development team and internal communications. This role will both manage external vendors and serve as an individual contributor, and will work closely with the PR manager and counterparts in Asia to coordinate cross-channel campaigns.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Drive content for use in public relations, website, advertising and social efforts
Work closely with business development teams to provide marketing support
Manage and maintain the website, liaise with international teams to coordinate localization of the site
Liaise with and support parent companies’ marketing efforts
Manage the company brand and help evolve the message
Drive the company’s activity across social media channels
Manage North American paid search campaigns
Manage the company’s presence at events and tradeshows
Manage the launch of and contributions to the blog
Work with partners on joint-promotions and awareness campaigns
Manage budgets and timelines across marketing campaigns
Track and report campaign metrics, present findings for data-driven marketing
Support internal communications (including Intranet) with writing/editing guidance; keep employee base apprised of company activities
