Purpose of the job:

Digital Domain’s Virtual Reality Platform has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Live Event Producer to work at the cutting edge of the VR Revolution. We are the industry standard in producing virtual reality and we are looking for a Live Event Producer that has the passion to jump in and help us usher the entertainment industry into a new era, bringing immersive, high-definition virtual reality directly to fans.
Do you have experience at the network level and know how to navigate the technical world of live production? We are looking for a self-starter that takes ownership of his or her role, that can carry out the vision of the creative director, is willing to pitch their own ideas, make quick decisions and adjust plans on the fly when necessary. You’ll be responsible for taking the lead on VR productions, planning out the production process ensuring the efficient/timely/cost effective production from creative briefing through final wrap of the job.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned Live Event Producer who not only thrives in a faced paced environment, but is open to frequent travel and has a passion for their job. If you are looking to broaden your experience with immersive technology then this might be the best job you ever had.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

You are a storyteller. Able to develop high quality content (live and tape), create rundowns and pre-production elements (graphics, teases, etc.) with ease.
Working closely with the Head of Production and Executive Producers to properly budget the scope of work and schedule our VR projects from shoot through final delivery.
Creating appropriate and accurate bids (working with creative teams) with an emphasis on creativity to meet budgetary constraints of clients.
Work with internal teams to develop staffing plans for specific live events and recruit freelance positions when necessary.
Create the budget and plan, track and monitor all costs related to the production.
Presents production budgets and schedules and addresses production related questions for internal and external clients.
Accountable for maintaining relationships, client satisfaction and management of expectations while ensuring that the work is on strategy, on time, and on budget and that projects are actualized, well documented, archived and closed.
Manages all aspects of pre-production, production and post-production.
Supervise edit session, live and or taped productions whilst understanding the balancing act required to have a thriving relationship within your team.
Ensures adherence to quality standards and elevate creative.
Supports leadership within department, keeps supervisor appraised of status of work.
Facilitates all materials getting to their destinations on time, including final masters for trafficking.
Cultivation of strong relationships with all internal departments including creative teams, media teams, and account teams as well as industry partners.
Remains current on industry and technological trends.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience Required:

Passion for Virtual Reality
You’ll need 5+ years’ experience producing live events and/or studio shows.
Leadership skills – Manage talent and associate producers during pre-production, production and post-production.
Is a self-starter, ambitious, reliable and comfortable working across multiple projects and tasks.
Highly organized, attentive to the details and be able to multitask successfully under changing priorities and daily time constraints.
Excellent business judgment and demonstrate an ability to think and act both strategically and tactically.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions.
Knowledge of the digital video and VR landscape including a solid understanding of digital video distribution technologies.
Excellent troubleshooting skills while under time and resource constraints.
Line producing experience required.

30%+ Travel Requirement.

As an Executive Producer, you’re equal parts content production expert and new business strategist with a creative and technical mind. The ideal candidate is a seasoned Executive Producer who is not only provides charismatic leadership with strong emotional intelligence, but thrives in a new and ever changing environment. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Managing content strategy for Virtual Reality vertical at Digital Domain
Overseeing and managing all live action and VFX Virtual Reality productions
Developing and pitching creative concepts to content partners
Creating and managing budgets and schedules
Collaborating with Digital Domain’s sales and marketing teams on content activation and marketing for vertical
Managing and developing relationships with content partners, directors, and other creative partners Act as lead on all client accounts
Participate in client/project/brand strategy problem solving
Proactively seeks incremental business from existing clients
Participate in new business presentations and delivery of all proposals to clients
Partnering with Production team to provide client deliverables
Identify and manage client expectations
Develop new project leads through new and existing relationships
Negotiate and execute complete end to end solution agreements that include software, hardware and services

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience Required:

Minimum 5 years of experience in the media and entertainment, gaming sector or high tech sectors
Proven track record producing short-form and/or commercial content
Experience developing and pitching creative
Experience managing production budgets and schedules
Ability to work effectively, gain credibility and respect of others
Ability to lead and persuade other, positively influencing the outcome of team efforts
Stellar client-facing communication skills required
Excellent analytical, presentation, and writing skills required
Connected, able to bring a ‘new rolodex’ that is complementary
Knowledge base of current industry and technology trends preferred
Experience in 360 or Immersive experiences a bonus
Able to manage high volume of information
Exceptional writing and communication skills
Qualified candidate will be highly-motivated self-starters with an energetic and assertive disposition
Qualified candidate is assertive, energetic, has stellar writing and communication skills and is a self-starter.
Bachelor degree from an accredited institution is preferred

Live VR Broadcast Engineer

It’s an exciting time at Digital Domain. Our Virtual Reality Platform is expanding exponentially and we want your expertise. We are looking for a Live VR Broadcast Engineer who is as passionate about creating cutting edge VR productions as we are.
As the Live VR Broadcast Engineer, you will support all Digital Domain’s VR productions, including livestreaming landmark events in 360° Virtual Reality, performing quality control measurements to insure proper video and audio quality is maintained and working closely with our Broadcast EIC to ensure all engineering related items are delivered as needed for production.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned Live Broadcast Engineer who not only thrives in a faced-paced environment, but is looking to broaden their experience with immersive technology and help usher the entertainment industry into a new era, bringing immersive visual experiences directly to captivated audiences.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Assist in planning, communications, execution and tracking of approved Studio, IT and transmission projects.
Assist in design, installation, configuration, maintenance and support of broadcast Video, Audio, Graphics control, IT and transmission systems.
Monitoring, trouble shooting, maintaining studio equipment and setup needs.
Hands on responsibilities involve making sure all broadcast equipment is calibrated and operating correctly during studio productions.
The engineer will learn & have full understanding of the technical facility and the complex broadcast video/audio equipment and systems within the network center.
The engineer will be responsible to follow all Digital Domain standards and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience Required:

2 – 5 years experience in broadcast engineering & studio operations.
Candidates must have experience working on studio television shows (live or non-live productions).
Must be knowledgeable in all areas of technical production and familiar with all production equipment, both std. and high definition including file based workflow, tape, drive and memory based video technology, production switchers, routers, cameras, RTS intercoms, and transmission equipment, graphics systems, and signal flow.
Must have a strong, working knowledge of television systems engineering. Additionally, knowledge of the integration of complex broadcast television systems and can troubleshoot computer based broadcast equipment.
Experience in 360° or Immersive experiences a bonus
Bachelor or Associates Degree or equivalent broadcasting experience.
