Production Coordinator

Key Purpose of the Job:

To assist the production and supervision team in the smooth running of projects by ensuring an accurate and efficient flow of information.

Needs to Do:

Ensure that artists understand their schedule of work and relay information back to production & supervision team.
Coordinate the flow of information and elements between artists and departments.
Keep databases up to date with element and shot status.
Co-ordinate dailies and note take.
Ensure the send and receipt of materials to and from the client.

Job Requirements:

Previous VFX production experience.
Office, particularly Excel.
Experienced in database work.
FTP software.
Previous Shotgun experience is a bonus
HTML / Wiki skills are an advantage.
Aptitude for new software is a must.

Needs to Be:

Clear communicator of succinct and accurate information.
Extremely focussed and organised.
Adaptable to changing scenarios and showing initiative.
Calm and personable under pressure, whilst working to tight deadlines.
Fast learner of new terminologies and workflows.

Production Runner

Job Title: Production Runner

Reports To: Head of Facilities

Running is the best way to get your foot in the door at Double Negative. All our runners join us with the aim of moving on in the business as VFX artists or production. Our production runners are looking to move into VFX production roles; starting as a production runner you would move into a production assistant role on your first show, then into show coordination, line producing and beyond.

Key Purpose of the Job:

Assisting all employees with queries and helping to resolve any problems.
Dispatching and delivering documents both in house and out of house.
Managing stocks and supplies, arranging orders, dealing with reception.
Assisting the office manager with the smooth running of our offices.

Needs to Do:

Dispatching and collecting items on request both in house and out of house; delivering post, faxes and other items to staff.
Taking initiative to manage stocks and supplies, arranging orders where necessary; ensuring refreshments, stationary, general office equipment and loos are well stocked.
Keeping reception, rest areas and offices clean tidy and well presented.
Reception duties – including dealing with switch board calls, welcoming clients, providing refreshments for meetings and clients, booking meeting rooms, cars and couriers.
Providing support to producers and managers, assisting producers with documents’ presentation where necessary, including adding images to layout, laminating, binding, scanning, photocopying.
Dealing with banking and dispatching of post.

Needs to Know:

Have good customer service skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and Email.
Have a professional and friendly phone manner.

Hard worker.
