Training and Recruitment Coordinator

Job Description

Working closely with the Head of HR and Managers across the business, ensure training plans are realised and delivered. Provide support to the recruitment team in all aspects of the recruitment process.

Responsibilities:

Training

Assist with identifying training solutions to meet training needs and requirements
Coordinate and support the development of in-house workshops and programmes using in-house expertise
Coordinate and support the development of external courses and programmes, working closely with the Head of HR and external providers
Ensure all training records are accurately maintained
Take responsibility for obtaining feedback on programmes and workshops from attendees
Prepare documentation for submission to Creative Skillset in order to obtain funding for training programmes
Coordinate and support Internship programmes
Actively participate in other training and HR initiative projects
Undertake the company overview section of the induction process/presentation
Assist with workload within the HR team should time allow

​Recruitment

Assist with the management of the recruitment database (Taleo), ensuring vacancy and candidate information is maintained and updated
Utilise social networking, job boards, referrals and our internal network to identify the best industry talent
Undertake pre-screening of candidates against job specification and agreed criteria
Organise interviews for Recruiters and Head of Recruitment
Act as a key contact person and liaison for candidates and also for the Crewing and HR teams
Other recruitment related activities as directed

​Skills and Experience:

Experience in a similar role and/or has a real passion to become involved in training/HR and recruitment
Excellent administration and organisation skills
Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, HR databases and Internet
Self sufficient & a self starter. Ability to work independently without direct supervision
Well organised with strengths in prioritizing, time management, forward planning and attention to detail
Strong confidence in dealing and building relationships
Diplomatic with the ability to maintain confidentiality
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Work well under pressure while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
Comfortable and proficient at undertaking presentations
Flexible attitude in order to achieve results
Ability to work well in a demanding environment
Proactive in problem solving
Customer focused
Team Player

Senior Human Resources Advisor

Job Description

Provide generalist HR expertise and support to the UK business (Film and Commercials). Business partner and coach to Managers and the crewing team.

Responsibilities:

General HR

Develop an understanding of how the organisation operates, business requirements and commercial objectives
Take a lead role in ensuring that company policies and procedures are up to date and in line with current employment legislation
Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on company policies
Provide advice and guidance to the HR team, supporting and mentoring the more junior members as and when required
Undertake exit interviews. In partnership with the Junior HR Advisor, undertake exit interviews and produce regular reports on feedback received during these meetings
Support the Head of HR and work with other members of the HR team on wider company initiatives and projects

​Employee Relations

Act as primary point of contact for managers and the crewing team, providing advice, expertise and coaching on all people related issues
Assist with grievance, disciplinary and redundancy investigations or meetings as and when required
Advising on all areas of absence including: Maternity/adoption/paternity, Illness, Holiday/TOIL
Take overall responsibility of absence monitoring, generating reports and liaising with the managers as and when needed to ensure that any issues are dealt with in a timely manner
​Learning and Development
In conjunction with the Head of HR and the Training Coordinator, analyse training needs with managers and deliver training courses, as and when required
​Immigration
When required, manage the work visa process, obtaining certificates of sponsorship and advising on procedure
Keep up to date with legal changes to immigration and communicate to key stakeholders
​Compensation and Benefits
Undertake salary benchmarking/surveys and analysis, as required
Provide input and ideas for benefit renewals
​HR Systems
Assist with ongoing configuration and enhancement of the HR Self-Service system
Build and run adhoc reports from the HR database to support management decisions
​Other
Undertake other HR related tasks, activities and projects as requested by Head of HR and/or as business needs dictate

​Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in a Generalist HR role, from within a creative or technical business
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Diplomatic and able negotiator
Team player and strong team ethic. Works well with other members of the HR team, sharing information and working collaboratively to achieve team objectives
Flexible and adaptable and able to manage changing priorities
Adapts approach and style to suit different situations and people
Acts as an ambassador for the team both internally and externally
Identifies issues; recommends and implements sound solutions in a timely manner
Manages own time to ensure tasks are completed as required
Able to work under pressure
Able to work with people from all levels
Ability to deal with difficult situations in a calm and professional manner
Highly organised and methodical
Proficient in Excel, Word and Powerpoint

​Desirable Skills:

Degree and/or CIPD qualified, or equivalent
Previous experience within visual effects sector
Knowledge and previous experience of immigration regulations and processes
