Main Tasks and Responsibilities

As part of the cinematics team, the selected candidate will help produce high-quality trailers for the latest creations of Gameloft studios in North America (Montreal, Toronto, New Orleans, and Seattle). The Video Editor will be responsible for creating and editing audiovisual material in order to produce trailers for various projects in progress.

Edit various videos as requested

Manage editing while making sure that the most recent versions received from artists are used
Update the video databases
Compress videos in the appropriate format

PROFILE

Skills and Profile

At least 2 years’ experience in offline or online editing and calibration (demo required)
Advanced knowledge of Final Cut and/or Premiere
Knowledge of various video compression formats
Basic knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects and/or Motion (asset)

Responsibilities:

Responsible for all animation in the studio, push and maintain high quality standards;
Review and provide feedback on animations in studio as well as productions worldwide, and from outsource teams;

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Working on site with the Game Designers and Producers for a multitude of projects at Gameloft, the Sound Effects Designer is responsible for creating all the sound for upcoming games on platforms such as iPad, iPhone, PS Vita, PS3. This position is under the direct supervision of the Sound Director. There is no music composing in this role.

Skills

Excellent knowledge of audio software compatible with the Windows platform: sequencers (Sonar, Cubase Ableton Live, Protools), audio editors (Sound Forge, WaveLab, Audition etc.). The ideal candidate must also have strong knowledge of popular VST plug-ins, necessary for audio editing and mixing.
Thorough knowledge of technical constraints (audio optimization, memory, etc.) linked to video game sound and sound format.
Knowledge of audio engines used in the video game industry (FMod, Wwise).
Capacity to create and edit original sounds, in the form of audio samples, sound synthesis, etc.
Familiar with sound effect libraries available on the market (Sound Ideas, Hollywood Edge, and others);
Capability to systematically and effectively manage large-scale databases (with more than 2000 sounds per game);
Ability to produce original, high-quality sound effects quickly and efficiently under pressure.
Profile
Minimum of 3 to 5 years professional experience in Sound Design in the video game industry. Demos will be requested.
A diploma in Sound Design is an asset.

The technical video games analyst works closely with the production team throughout the project. The analyst maintains a constant report on the performance of the game using various memory analysis software. The analyst assists programmers to isolate both basic functionality problems and performance optimization problems deep within the game’s engine.

Verify all aspects of assigned games and ensure that they have no flaws;
