Publishing Producer


The Publishing Producer is primarily responsible for getting budgeting, scheduling, tracking development, ensuring team deliverables are met in a timely manner for submission to platforms, and reporting team progress. The Publishing Producer is also responsible for project relations within Gearbox including Business, Marketing, QA and Licensing. Most importantly, The Publishing Producer is responsible for ensuring the game is viable for and certified by major console platforms. The Publishing Producer enables and empowers the game designers to make the best games they can within the constraints of time and money and people.

Skills & Experience:

Have shipped at publishing company as an AP at least 3 AAA projects or as Producer at least one AAA project on consoles
Exceptional communication skills to build and maintain relationships with partners and internal departments
Have budget experience and a respect for ROI of time, people and money not just within Gearbox but also with partners
Understanding on a broad level how long tasks will take for the disciplines within game poduction and publishing
Understanding on a broad level the tools used for game production and publishing
Understanding of game certification process with platforms / consoles
Understanding on a broad level the tools of game QA and profiling

Product Manager


The Product Manager is responsible for every public facing asset of communication for a game or multiple games. The Product Manager must be a creative, analytical and detail-oriented self-starter who possesses strong multi-tasking and execution skills. You need to be the consumer advocate while balancing business priorities. The PM should approach challenges with both a holistic and a detailed approach; as you will help manage the global lifecycle of games with a local perspective. The role requires the potential candidate to build strong relationships across various parts of the organization including Game Developers, Business Development, Creative, Consumer Insights and Community.

Skills & Experience:

Have at least 2 years experience at a publisher with games on consoles and PC.
Drive product lifecycle management strategy and execution from pre-launch, launch and post launch through the acquisition, retention.
Create and drive integrated marketing campaigns with strong central focuses executed across multiple channels including paid and earned media.
Define product positioning, value proposition, target audience and build a brand identity for games.
Collaborate with Consumer Insights and Community to inform feature development for the game development teams
Work with external agencies, Business Development, Public Relations and User Acquisition to create awareness of games through external channels.
Work with Art teams to develop marketing assets from concept to execution that are clear, concise and creative.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends.
Coordinate with Live Operations for managed games to drive events that focus on both the acquisition of new customers
Analyze effectiveness of marketing programs with a strong understanding of their financial impact.
