3D Texture Artist
Job Type: Full Time
Experience Required: 2+ years
Giant are looking for experienced 3D Texture artists to unwrap and texture a range of character and environment models for upcoming productions.
Unwrap and texture a range of characters, animals and environments for upcoming animation projects.
Work closely with 3D modelers to create topology that allows for a smooth UV unwrapping process.
Use a range of 3ds max and Mental Ray shader setups to prepare 3D models for lighting.
Have a diligent and responsible approach to file naming, layering and scene management.
In depth knowledge of 3DS Max is essential, preferably with 2 years industry experience.
Excellent fluency with Adobe Photoshop
Superior eye for light, shade, color, and detail in creating shaders and texture maps.
Ability to create a diverse range of texture styles, from cartoony to photoreal.
High level of competence with UV unwrapping.
Solid understanding of 3d edge flow and its relatability to texture work.
Knowledge of 3ds max and Mental Ray procedural shaders.
Basic understanding of 3D lights and rendering techniques.
Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well within tight deadlines.
Good traditional painting skills.
3D modeling skills a plus.
Experience using a sculpting programme such as Zbrush or Mudbox.
