The ideal candidate for this unique opportunity will play an integral role in IMAX’s “DMR Division.” In addition to functioning in the capacity of a “Junior Digital Artist,” the successful candidate will be part of select team working on IMAX’s DMR production process. The work environment is a hands-on, boutique operation. The DMR workflow includes a proprietary suite of image enhancement tools. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate with a keen eye for detail. IMAX DMR films are recognized the world-over for their remarkable image clarity, detail and resolution.
What you’ll be doing:
Digital Roto/Paint Artists capable of using proprietary/commercial platforms.
Understanding of basic Digital Compositing/Tracking/Roto-Scoping, and Dirt-Removal/Dust-busting techniques.
Keen eye for detail, “Quality-Control” of imagery (pass/fail) on IMAX proprietary playback platform.
Ability to maintain close relationship with project through project lifecycle using a proprietary database.
What we’re looking for:
Experience in a film-entertainment / post-production environment using industry standard platforms such as Shake, Fusion, AfterEffects, Nuke, Pixel Farm’s PF-Clean/PF-Prep, and Photoshop
Proven ability to learn and master proprietary software tools in a short time.
Proven ability to work under a deadline intensive environment & willingness to work overtime and on weekends if necessary.
Flexibility with work schedule based on workload.
Knowledge of Digital Post-Production Workflow / Operations.
Basic understanding of Stereocopic-3D imagery.
Knowledge of Digital Media Management (Linux/PC/Mac) a plus.
Excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, and an effective “Team Player” a must.
