Collaborates directly with Lucasfilm’s VP & SVP of Physical Production in conducting principal photography location security assessments. Leverages Global Security and external resources to conduct threat and risk evaluations.
Collaborates with principal photography security team in development of appropriate life/safety and asset protection plans while production films on location.
Collaborates proactively with Industrial Light & Magic stakeholders in strategy, design, development and implementation of physical and digital security asset protection requirements.
Develops physical security standards, processes and tools employed during pre-production, principal photography, and post production to ensure personal safety of cast, crew, visitors, and protection of intellectual property, and other production related assets. Measures and reports on overall status and progress to respective segment leaders in coordination with key business partners.
In partnership with IT and Information Security conducts periodic content protection risk assessments of relevant business activities that document analysis of impact and likelihood.
Ensures employment background screening methods are proportionate for employees, contractors, and consultants handling confidential physical or digital assets through coordination with Human Resources and Legal.
Drives efforts with key stakeholders in development of strategy and asset management and tracking plans specific to the preservation of confidential intellectual property and protection of production assets. Asset management plans will incorporate the asset lifecycle, to include receipt, identification, handling, storage, transportation and destruction. Examples include but are not limited to; physical and logical asset storage (including blank media), camera media, video assist carts, and camera trucks.
In partnership with IT, leads training and awareness briefings for all users with access to confidential physical or digital assets to new employees, contractors and temporary staff.
Ensures new third party vendors that will handle confidential assets adhere to Content Protection Site Security Standards. Assists in follow-up and remediation as necessary.
Continually partners with entertainment industry security leaders in identifying technology to support security production requirements.
Partners with Legal on investigative requirements during production process. Escalates notification to key leadership and maintains consistent communication on investigation results and remediation recommendations.
Provides appropriate support to Lucasfilm anti-piracy strategies based on overall production security program, liaising with the company’s key anti-piracy stakeholders and relevant external agencies, where necessary.
Successfully accomplishes department objectives by establishing action plans, timetables, and outcome measurements; obtaining and allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
Achieve financial goals by establishing objectives; developing and monitoring budgets; controlling and reducing costs.
Contribute to team effort by offering information and opinion as a member of senior management; integrating objectives with other functions; accomplishing special projects as needed.
Solidify existing relationships with law enforcement, government official liaisons, and Line of Business executives by actively engaging in dialogue and by supporting key initiatives and activities
Minimum 10 – 15 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility within the security and entertainment fields including 5 years of experience leading a comparable sized organization
Entertainment industry production security experience required
Production content protection experience required
