As a member of Lucasfilm HR team, we are looking for a versatile player who will partner with key leaders within Lucasfilm and Disney to assess training needs, coordinate classes, and drive overall value to the organization through strategic learning solutions. As a member of the broader HR team, the successful candidate will also work on special projects in the areas of culture development, employee engagement, workforce analytics, including diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities:

•Consult with HR and business leaders to identify and aggregate learning and development priorities linked to Lucasfilm business goals and employee career and professional development needs.
•Collaborate with Enterprise learning partners to source and deliver relevant topics, tools and resources to support learning priorities.
•Deliver key Lucasfilm training programs with the ability to tailor the curriculum to the audience by utilizing both proven Lucasfilm training curriculum and leveraging Disney’s existing and emerging learning programs, as well as deliver content through means other than classroom training.
•Administer the Lucasfilm New Hire orientation program, compliance and production training programs, and coordinate learning opportunities as relevant.
•Coordinate the implementation of Studio- and / or Enterprise-wide learning initiatives on the Lucasfilm campus, eg, implementation of the new TWDC Learning Platform.
•Strive for continuous improvement in our learning and development efforts by by partnering with Disney on best practices and exploring new and different methods that will stimulate development & learning.
•Support key projects within the Lucasfilm’s overall approach to talent management, including facilitating the annual talent planning and performance review processes and key diversity and inclusion.
•Collaborate with Workforce Analytics partners to link tracking and reporting of key metrics to business and HR strategies, including measuring the impact of learning programs and key HR initiatives.
•Special projects as assigned.

Requirements

•B.S. Degree or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience in an HR organization, ideally in an influential Learning/Training role
•Must bring strategic perspective to training and development to effectively execute program curriculums.
•Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, as well as strong presentation skills with a variety of audiences.
•Ability to work across multiple client organizations and collaborate at different levels within an organization.
•Demonstrated ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders, set priorities and plan, manage, and coordinate the execution of EOD activities and tasks.
•Exceptional project management skills, independent problem solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to collaborate with others and to work in a fast-paced environment are all qualities necessary to be successful in this position.

Recruitment & Talent Coordinator

We are currently on the lookout for an extremely organised individual to sit between both our Recruitment and Crewing functions. You will primarily be working alongside the Talent Manager assisting in crew and capacity management, but also operating in conjunction with the Studio Recruiter ensuring that daily and bi-weekly hiring admin tasks are completed on-time and accurately.

Talent/Crewing

-Updating and maintaining various crewing and capacity spreadsheets and databases.
-Pulling and creating reports from crewing databases
-Coordinating and facilitating regular departmental meetings
-Preparing agendas for various meetings, taking notes and disseminating as appropriate
-Coordinate newstarter training with the Training team in SF and confirming the details to the newstarters
-Coordinating probation and annual reviews
-Collating artist annual leave requests for review and approval and provide confirmed holiday information to HR Coordinator for tracking.

Recruitment

-Maintaining and updating Recruiting database
-Maintaining and updating Recruiting report
-Arranging interviews and booking meeting rooms
-Greeting candidates when they arrive for interview and gathering required passport/work-visa documentation
-Preparation for interviews – printing cv’s, breakdowns and loading showreels
-Responding to recruitment applications
-Assisting with coordinating local and international recruiting events
-Coordinating materials for recruiting presentations
-Researching around niche positions and where to advertise
-Posting job adverts
-Providing general administrative support to the Talent & Recruiting team
Requirements
Education / Experience:
-Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification
-Previous administrative experience supporting a Talent or Recruitment team

Required Skills/Competencies:

-Show a positive and proactive attitude
-Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with internal and external individuals at various levels of seniority
-Successfully organise, prioritise and complete multiple projects with extreme attention to detail

CG Supervisor

Working under the direction of the Digital Production Supervisor and the VFX Supervisor, the CG Supervisor ensures all delivered shots maintain the group’s rigorous standards and support the creative vision of the Director by directing the artists’ creative work, technical skills and communication
Responsible for leading and mentoring the digital artists in technical direction work.
Maintain high technical standards and strive to maintain an up-to-date understanding of ILM’s standards, advancements and best practices. Communicating this knowledge to the production group.
Responsible for bidding and scheduling TD work for the show.
Demonstrate good listening and communication skills by openly receiving and understanding direction and criticism from ILM Supervisors and communicating and defining their expectations to the production group.
Must be a seasoned cross-group communicator and collaborator.
Demonstrates basic presentation and communication skills in dailies and shot review by clearly and briefly outlining accomplishments and areas of issue.
Must possess a keen eye for aesthetic detail and the ability to effectively communicate with both the creative and production staff at ILM.
Possess the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time well, providing accurate time estimates for shot completion.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Graphics (or equiv experience) with at least 5+ years hands-on production experience.
Excellent knowledge of the pipeline (both proprietary and 3rd party).

Required Skills/Competencies:

Strong working knowledge of Linux, Python and shell scripting required.
Strong awareness of deadlines.
Demonstrates ability to work with competency, energy and enthusiasm within a team environment with minimal supervision.
Demonstrates excellent listening and communication skills by openly receiving direction and criticism by asking good questions to confirm clear understanding of the directions and how to approach what needs to be done. Once clear, implements the requested changes immediately and raises flags right away.
Demonstrates the ability to engage in the creative process without ego, and accepts all final decisions with a positive and supportive attitude.
Demonstrates an excellent eye toward anticipating potential problems and knowing exactly what could look better in one’s shot and an excellent knowledge of how to use the tools to achieve the desired look.

Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks managing time very well, providing everyone with accurate time estimates on shot task completion.
Demonstrates the ability to help and teach more junior level artists and lead others on huge shots or small sequences.
Sets a standard for all Technical Directors in continually raising the bar of for speed, quality of work and adaptability.
Conversant in FX TD methodologies.

Preferred Skills/Competencies:

Look dev and/or shader writing preferred, layout and matchmove a plus.

Technical Skills:

Familiar with Maya, Katana, Zeno and Nuke.
