This position will be responsible for handling domestic and/or international promotional partners for the Star Wars Ep. VII Theatrical Release and assisting in other marketing projects to be determined.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-today relationship with key promotional partners, develop and manage integrated strategic program, logistics, and approvals of all materials relating to The Star Wars Ep. VII theatrical tie-in promotions for each of the promotional partners assigned.
• Work with manager on the integrated creative development, including packaging, promotion mechanics, and production of POS materials. Ensure all creative materials falls within approved strategy.
• Develop and maintain creative timelines.
• Work with promotional partners and Disney Studio Marketing and Retail teams to develop media plans, marketing creative (television, radio, print and online) and account specific programs.
• Work with promotional partners and licensing to develop premiums.
• Act as the “point person” with each of the appropriate promotional partners.
• Review and obtain comments and final approval on marketing plans and creative materials.
• Work with partner to localize promotion for appropriate territories.
• Act as liaison between Marketing, Production, Licensing and Disney to ensure all necessary parties are in the know of what it happening with each of the partners.
• Responsible for maintaining legal clearances.
• Keep all divisions for the Marketing Team up-to-date on the development of the promotion (PR, Online).
• Assist with other projects as needed.


• Requires a four-year degree in business, marketing, communications or related field.
• 3-5 years Entertainment Marketing experience preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Understanding of the content creation process, promotion, development and execution process and experience executing promotions
• Exceptional work ethic, strong organization and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in constantly changing environment.
• Appreciation, understanding and respect for the Star Wars franchise
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)

Senior Lighting Technical Director

Lighting Technical Directors (TD) work with Artist Supervisors to create the look of computer generated objects and scenes. They are responsible for lighting, shading, rendering, and some compositing. We are looking for an experienced Lighting TD with a strong background in Look Development. Ideally you will have a background working in a similar role on hair/fur.
Look-development of CG assets to be used across shots and sequences
Light and render of photo-real CG elements to integrate with live-action footage under supervisors’ direction
Build and support light rigs, shading setups and composites to be used by other lighters
Develop shot and render passes as needed in collaboration with lead and shot compositors
Submit composited CG render elements for daily reviews to obtain feedback from supervisors
Manage render scenes, light rigs and production assets
Support the lighting and rendering pipeline for shots and sequences
Monitor daily progress of Lighting and render requirements with leads and supervisors
Technically and creatively promote and maintain consistent shot quality and desired look as defined CG and VFX Supervisors


A minimum of 5 years experience required in visual effects.
Thorough understanding of techniques and technologies related to CG rendering and look development
Demo reel demonstrating artistic and technical ability in Lighting & Look Dev
Hair & Fur experience
Feature film experience required
Strong computer programming abilities with Visual Art Skills
Experience working with Katana & Renderman
Knowledge of Zeno would also be advantageous
Sound understanding of production pipelines

Associate Producer, Bidding & Scheduling

Job Description

The Associate Producer of Bidding and Scheduling works closely with the General Manager and Director of Production to produce bids for new projects and for scheduling projects. The Associate Producer of Bidding and Scheduling also works closely with internal resources, including Supervising Sound Editors, Scoring, Engineering, Client Services, and Production Accounting, to coordinate the distribution of information pertaining to projects in a timely and consistent manner. The Associate Producer of Bidding and Scheduling will also work with the Director of Production to see projects through from the time a project is awarded through the end of the production process, providing support to the Supervising Sound Editors and Clients as needed in order to ensure a timely response to all requests for information or assistance.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work closely with the General Manager, Director of Production, and Supervising Sound Editors to compose and revise bids, create labor distribution charts, travel estimates, off-site equipment and support estimates, and other such material to be sent to clients during the bidding process.
Work closely with the Director of Production when the show is in active production in order to maintain the accuracy of each project’s schedule and ensure that clients’ requests are responded to quickly
Responsible for managing and administering the overall scheduling function at Skywalker Sound including Mix Stages, Editorial Rooms, Foley Stage, Scoring Stage, ADR Stage, and Stag Theater
Must maintain working knowledge of freelance artists’ schedules, both at Skywalker and off-site; and must maintain up-to-date knowledge of each production’s actual schedule as well as anticipated schedule changes
Manages and communicates editorial and stage scheduling information with Digi and Engineering in order to ensure proper technical set up of all projects
Manages and communicates scheduling and bidding information with Client Services in order to facilitate accurately meeting clients’ housing and transportation needs while working at the Ranch or off-site.
Coordinates new or changing project information with the appropriate internal resources, including Client Services, Production Accounting, Engineering and Senior Management.
Communicates with Production Accounting to make updates to schedule when Change Orders are approved
Keeps internal resources informed of bidding activities as appropriate in order to ensure that other departments and individuals are able to properly forecast and staff for projects’ needs.
Serves as a point of contact for clients’ needs throughout entire project, as assigned.

Additional responsibilities of the Associate Producer of Bidding and Scheduling include:

Has thorough knowledge of the scheduling software program ShowMgr.
Prepares project reports, highlighting any outstanding issues that need to be addressed.
Produces ad-hoc reporting as needed.
Resolves and/or escalates issues and conflicts in a timely fashion.
Communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Participates in post-mortems on projects as requested by the Director of Production to help determine ways of improving workflow.
Identifies and communicates opportunities to increase project scope when possible.
Maintains breadth and depth of knowledge of Skywalker artists’ resumes and skill-sets in order to facilitate staffing suggestions to Senior Management.
Facilitates completion of project legal documents between parties, including contracts, releases and NDA’s.
Works on special projects as needed and as requested.
Travels and entertains clients and/or artists as needed with prior approval.


Diplomacy, discretion, confidentiality, versatility, accuracy and reliability are critical.
Must be friendly, flexible and have the ability to work well as part of a team.
Must be discreet with sensitive information, and remain diplomatic when having contentious conversations with difficult clients.
Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with all levels of personnel.
Ability to prioritize work and remain very detail oriented.
Strong organizational and project management skills. Proven ability to ensure completion of objectives and assignments by assigned deadlines.
Ability to self-motivate and meet deliverables while working independently.
Exceptional communication skills; proven ability to interact effectively and professionally with colleagues at all levels.
Bachelor’s degree and Audio Post Production experience prior to assignment; or equivalent combination of education and post sound experience required.
Knowledge of ShowMGR and Excel preferred.
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles preferred.
Strong working knowledge of the film industry and trends preferred.
Uses a computer keyboard at least 90% of total work time.
