CINEMATIC ANIMATOR

Io-Interactive is currently looking for a full-time Cinematic Animator to join an unannounced AAA game project.

We are prepared to accept applications from the very best talent from around the world and offer relocation packages in order to secure the right candidate for this role.

As an integral part of the team, you will collaborate with the designers and programmers to execute the overall creative vision of the project. Ongoing responsibilities include: the production of animation, defining standards and best practices in the cinematic department managing deliverables and quality-control of outsourced animation.

You will be involved in all aspects of the production from the initial design of character movement and technical considerations of implementation to collaboration with other team members in the creation of final animation. Your goal is to set new standards for cinematic animation in games.

BASIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the art director, game director and your lead in creation of the overall artistic vision of the game.
Set benchmarks for animation quality for internal and external teams.
Help define animation tools, pipelines and technical systems necessary to produce projects.
Give input to the overall planning of cinematic animation.
Deliver content on schedule and within technical limitations.
Work with programmers and design to ensure animations properly fitting the game requirements.
Be responsible for motion capture sessions.

REQUIRED SKILLS
Accomplished 3D animator with experience producing at least one AAA title having participated in all phases of a full-cycle game development.
Understanding of rigging and skinning principles.
Ability to create realistic character animation.
Experienced in one or more 3D applications (3ds Max, Motion Builder, Maya, …).
Solid experience with motion capture.
Ability to develop plans and give appropriate direction for team-members and outsourced production.
Ability to respond elegantly to difficult creative changes, often late in the process.
Self-motivated towards solving creative problems.
Excellent written and oral communications skills in English
A passion for video games is mandatory.

OF ADVANTAGE
Fine art or acting background.
Classical animation experience.
Excellent graphic skills and significant knowledge of art fundamentals including staging, layout, storytelling, and editing.
Facial animation skills and experience.

CONCEPT ARTIST

IO Interactive is currently looking for a full-time Concept Artist to join an unannounced AAA game project.

We are prepared to accept applications from the very best talent from around the world and offer relocation packages in order to secure the right candidate for this role.

As a part of the team, you will collaborate with the art director to achieve the creative vision of the project. Ongoing responsibilities include: producing concepts for locations, characters and other game assets as well as working on wrapping, marketing material, etc. You will be constantly striving for the highest possible standards of style and looks.

You will be involved in the initial design of graphics and will be collaborating with the directors, leads and individual team members. Your goal is to set new standards for style and concepts in games gaining optimal resonance within the market.

BASIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the Art Director to achieve the creative vision and a consistent style in the game
Establish style by creating concept artwork, asset production designs, and graphics visually describing characters, locations, props etc.
Create inspirational and trend setting storyboards, sketches, layouts and color schemes
Work with direction creating concepts for menus, OSD, HUD and game wrapping
Create concepts and make marketing material to support the production
Work with environment artists on early 3D visualization prototypes
Assist and give feedback in the actual creation of game assets like models and shaders

REQUIRED SKILLS
Accomplished Concept Artist preferably with experience of working on at least one AAA title
Excellent drawing and conceptualization skills with an ability to adapt to established styles
Understanding of fundamental illustration skills including form, composition, perspective, light and color theory
Understanding of surface texture, anatomy, and architecture
Ability to respond elegantly to difficult creative changes, often late in the process
Must be capable creating diverse styles
Digital illustration skills and an advanced understanding of Photoshop
Self-motivated towards solving creative problems
Excellent written and oral communications skills in English
A passion for video games is mandatory

ENVIRONMENT ARTIST

As an integral part of the team, you will collaborate with directors, leads and other team members to achieve the creative vision of the project. Ongoing responsibilities include: producing in-game environments, creating specifications requirement handouts and managing deliverables and quality-control for outsourced game assets.

You will be involved in the initial design of graphics and technical considerations of implementation. Your goal is to set new standards for graphics in games.

BASIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with key team members in the creation of in-game environments.
Block out gray box levels meeting level design requirements while also creating conceptually interesting spaces.
Translate concepts into producible game assets by creating modular and reusable game assets.
Be responsible for the final art asset production for certain parts of the game.
Deliver content on schedule and within technical limitations.
Prepare for and create outsourcing handouts and give feedback on deliveries from our outsourcing partners.
When required assist lighting artists and effects artist in their work for game environments.
Work closely with technical artists using a mix of third party and proprietary tools setting up art for optimal execution and displaying in our game engine.
Add final polish to already existing graphics.
Fix bugs and optimize game assets for required performance and to comply with specifications on various platforms.

REQUIRED SKILLS
Accomplished game artist with experience of working on at least one AAA title.
Understanding of the technical limitations and requirements for in-game art making.
Ability to create great looking game art.

ART DIRECTOR

Io-Interactive is currently looking for a full-time art director to join an unannounced AAA game project.

You will be collaborating with the game director and the studio creative director executing the overall strategy for the project. Your focus will be how to best achieve the creative vision of the project.

Ongoing responsibilities include: producing and directing concepts for characters, locations and other game assets as well as working on game wrapping, marketing material, etc. You will be constantly striving for the highest possible standards of style and looks while keeping consistency.

Your goal is to set new standards for style and concepts in games gaining optimal resonance within the market.

BASIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for creating a clear artistic style that supports and communicates the creative vision and storyline of the game concept
Responsible for art direction on the project, ensuring that all the key art features are in alignment with the vision
Responsible for the development and design of key artwork
Giving feedback, direction, guidance, inspiration and supporting the individual team members though all phases of production
Execute timely internal reviews on color schemes, lighting, mood, etc. of game assets in the production
Give feedback and guidance to external partners on art content and reviews work to ensure it is appropriate for the project
Be responsible for the final approval of artistic quality of game assets
Help preparing and executing investor and green light presentations, alone or together with the project teams
Provide creative support to brand marketing team to align marketing, maintaining brand consistency and creating brand campaigns and live shops for products and brand universes

REQUIRED SKILLS
Accomplished art director preferably with experience of working on at least one AAA title
Deep understanding of game development and working with creative talent
Excellent digital illustration and conceptualization skills with an ability to adapt to established styles as well as create new and diverse ones
Understanding of fundamental illustration skills including form, composition, perspective, light, color theory, surface texture, anatomy, and architecture
Proficient in creating pitches, shows, and enticing presentation material
Excellent presentation skills and willingness to work with media and give interviews, represent the games, brands and studio
Ability to respond elegantly to difficult creative changes, often late in the process
Self-motivated towards solving creative problems
Excellent written and oral communications skills in English
A passion for video games is mandatory
