CONCEPT ARTIST

Io-Interactive is currently looking for a full-time Concept Artist to join an unannounced AAA game project.

We are prepared to accept applications from the very best talent from around the world and offer relocation packages in order to secure the right candidate for this role.

As a part of the team, you will collaborate with the art director to achieve the creative vision of the project. Ongoing responsibilities include: producing concepts for locations, characters and other game assets as well as working on wrapping, marketing material, etc. You will be constantly striving for the highest possible standards of style and looks.

You will be involved in the initial design of graphics and will be collaborating with the directors, leads and individual team members. Your goal is to set new standards for style and concepts in games gaining optimal resonance within the market.

BASIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the Art Director to achieve the creative vision and a consistent style in the game
Establish style by creating concept artwork, asset production designs, and graphics visually describing characters, locations, props etc.
Create inspirational and trend setting storyboards, sketches, layouts and color schemes
Work with direction creating concepts for menus, OSD, HUD and game wrapping
Create concepts and make marketing material to support the production
Work with environment artists on early 3D visualization prototypes
Assist and give feedback in the actual creation of game assets like models and shaders

REQUIRED SKILLS
Accomplished Concept Artist preferably with experience of working on at least one AAA title
Excellent drawing and conceptualization skills with an ability to adapt to established styles
Understanding of fundamental illustration skills including form, composition, perspective, light and color theory
Understanding of surface texture, anatomy, and architecture
Ability to respond elegantly to difficult creative changes, often late in the process
Must be capable creating diverse styles
Digital illustration skills and an advanced understanding of Photoshop
Self-motivated towards solving creative problems
Excellent written and oral communications skills in English
A passion for video games is mandatory

Fine Art or Design Education background
Experience in one or more 3D sculpting applications (Zbrush, Mudbox, 3DCoat, Sculptris …)

LEAD CHARACTER ARTIST

Io-Interactive is currently looking for a full-time Lead Character Artist to join an unannounced AAA game project.

We are prepared to accept applications from the very best talent from around the world and offer relocation packages in order to secure the right candidate for this role.

As an integral part of the team, you will collaborate with the production management team to define and execute the overall creative vision of the project. Ongoing responsibilities include: defining the standards and practices of character art production, operationally managing a team of in-house artists, managing deliverables and quality-control for outsourced character production and communication with the production management team to ensure the highest possible standards of production.

You will be involved in all aspects of the production from the initial design of graphics to technical considerations of implementation. You will be collaborating closely with animators, concept artists, directors, and game designers. Your goal is to set new standards for character graphics in games.

BASIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the Art Director, Game Director and Concept Artists in the design and the execution of the overall artistic vision of the game
Be responsible for the overall production and completion of characters
Set benchmarks for character graphics quality for the internal and external teams
Be responsible for the overall planning of character art production
Manage the day-to-day operations of the character artists on the team
You will be responsible for the outsourcing pipeline and asset quality control of characters
Deliver content on schedule and within technical limitations
Work with programmers and designers to ensure outstanding character art properly fitting the game design requirements
Help define art tools and technical systems necessary to produce projects

REQUIRED SKILLS
Accomplished character artist with experience of leading a character art team
Ability to manage and inspire in-house team of character artists and give qualified and constructive feedback
Understanding of the technical limitations and requirements for in-game character art making
Ability to look past immediate technical constraints and work solution oriented
Highly experienced in one or more 3D applications (3ds Max, Maya, …)
Experienced in one or more 3D sculpting applications (ZBrush, Mudbox, 3DCoat, …)
Ability to develop plans and direction for outsourced production
Ability to respond elegantly to difficult creative changes, often late in the process
Experience with rigging and skinning
Self-motivated towards solving creative problems and technical challenges
Excellent written and oral communications skills in English
A passion for video games is mandatory

ART DIRECTOR

Io-Interactive is currently looking for a full-time art director to join an unannounced AAA game project.

We are prepared to accept applications from the very best talent from around the world and offer relocation packages in order to secure the right candidate for this role.

You will be collaborating with the game director and the studio creative director executing the overall strategy for the project. Your focus will be how to best achieve the creative vision of the project.

Ongoing responsibilities include: producing and directing concepts for characters, locations and other game assets as well as working on game wrapping, marketing material, etc. You will be constantly striving for the highest possible standards of style and looks while keeping consistency.

Your goal is to set new standards for style and concepts in games gaining optimal resonance within the market.

BASIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for creating a clear artistic style that supports and communicates the creative vision and storyline of the game concept
Responsible for art direction on the project, ensuring that all the key art features are in alignment with the vision
Responsible for the development and design of key artwork
Giving feedback, direction, guidance, inspiration and supporting the individual team members though all phases of production
Execute timely internal reviews on color schemes, lighting, mood, etc. of game assets in the production
Give feedback and guidance to external partners on art content and reviews work to ensure it is appropriate for the project
Be responsible for the final approval of artistic quality of game assets
Help preparing and executing investor and green light presentations, alone or together with the project teams
Provide creative support to brand marketing team to align marketing, maintaining brand consistency and creating brand campaigns and live shops for products and brand universes

REQUIRED SKILLS
Accomplished art director preferably with experience of working on at least one AAA title
Deep understanding of game development and working with creative talent
Excellent digital illustration and conceptualization skills with an ability to adapt to established styles as well as create new and diverse ones
Understanding of fundamental illustration skills including form, composition, perspective, light, color theory, surface texture, anatomy, and architecture
Proficient in creating pitches, shows, and enticing presentation material
Excellent presentation skills and willingness to work with media and give interviews, represent the games, brands and studio
