Production Assistant, Rapid Prototype

Job Description

General Summary

The Production Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and production assistance to the Puppet Fabrication Department, specifically the Character Supervisor.

Essential Job Functions

Maintain calendar, schedule appointments and department meetings.
Administrative tasks such as handling phone calls, shipping, mail, organizing and maintaining filing, setting up conference calls, making travel arrangements as needed etc.
Records and distributes necessary notes, schedules or any other necessary information within department and throughout Studio.
Assist with planning and coordination of special events.
Catalogue and maintain in-house production imagery.
Assist in monitoring projects to ensure that time and resource commitments are as scheduled.
Coordinate daily with Character Supervisor to prioritize tasks as well as provide follow up and reminders on action items.
Assist in research and follow-through.
Assist Character Supervisor in preparing for director approval, public relations tours and VIP visits such as presentations to the board, distribution executives and others.
Create and complete all accounting paperwork for Dept. Head approval (i.e. P.O’s expense reports, etc.)
Other duties as assigned by Character Supervisor .
S./B.A. in film, art or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, time manage.
Detail oriented.
Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with all levels within the organization.
Ability to work as a team member.
Knowledge of Photoshop, Excel, Word, FileMaker.
Prior production experience, a plus.

Qualifications

S./B.A. in film, art or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, time manage.
Detail oriented.
Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with all levels within the organization.
Ability to work as a team member.
Knowledge of Photoshop, Excel, Word, FileMaker.
Prior production experience, a plus.
