DESCRIPTION

Leveraging our production workflow, the Tracker/Layout artist, working under the direction of the Tracking/Layout Lead, will create, solve or extend camera motion, assist in pre and post visualisation, and perform complex layout and matchmoving tasks in live action film and high concept television productions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

-Camera tasks – recreating (solving) or creating the movement of a mono or stereo live-action camera in 3D.
-Using the measurements and pictures of the live-action set, camera information, distortion grids, and scaling reference of characters and objects to recreate a virtual set in 3D.
-Scene layout in Maya.
-Matchmoving rigid and non-rigid objects on moving elements in the plate.
-Removing lens distortion from the plates to aid in the solving of tracks.

QUALIFICATIONS

-Expert knowledge of 3Dequalizer (knowledge of PFTrack a plus).
-Thorough knowledge and experience with Maya.
-Working knowledge of Nuke.
-On set production experience is desirable.
-Previous stereoscopic film production experience a plus

Work as part of the VFX production team to implement viable VFX solutions
Communicate with producers, coordinators, creative and technical leads regarding directives and production requirements of specific projects
Develop project plans and schedules for the production team.

VFX Producer

Responsibilities:

Working as part of the film production team to implement viable digital production/vfx solutions for feature films and high concept TV shows
Build and maintain professional relationships with clients
Develop, implement, and oversee project plans and delivery schedules to ensure both internal and client deadlines are met

Anticipate artist and production bottlenecks before they happen

Character FX TD

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role tends to vary between projects, as we adapt to the needs of the characters/creatures we create in collaboration with filmmakers.
Work closely with CG supervisors to develop best approach for technical challenges associated with character simulations.
Develop new techniques and processes to solve character production challenges.
Collaborate with Asset, Rigging, and Animation teams to develop effective and efficient physically-based simulation assets and rigs, that meet creative and technical needs.
Develop tools and best practices associated with character simulation.
Develop and maintain character motion and deformation systems; secondary dynamics systems.
Perform tasks such as Character finaling, cloth setup, hair setup and simulation as it pertains to character animation.
Capable of writing pipeline tools to streamline the setup and shot-making processes.
Work with production management to prioritize tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

In depth knowledge of Maya, including Maya rigging, modeling, cloth and hair techniques; preferably 3+ years of production experience. No cross-training available due to the timeframe.
Strong understanding of both Facial and Figure Anatomy – biped and quadruped.
High level of understanding for physically based simulation techniques and how they relate to film.
Complex character/vehicle rigging experience in Maya in film/broadcast or games environments.
Experience with finaling and PSD workflows.
Ability to work with and organize complex, physically-based assets.
MEL, Python and C++ experience.

Strong artistic aptitude with a discipline in hyperrealism as opposed to perceptual representationalism.
A full working knowledge of modeling in Maya is required.
Ability to deliver a model with clean topology and strong UV layout skills for texturing.
Ability to work with Z-brush and/or Mudbox.

Work with our head of CG and supervisors to build and maintain pipeline tools, techniques and procedures to support current projects and advance the capabilities of the facility for the future.
Come up with elegant solutions and tools to speed up workflows, alleviate bottlenecks and facilitate production.
Candidates will be required to contribute to their area of specialty (FX, Lighting, etc.) and overall back end development.

Qualifications
