About the Position

As an animator you are responsible for creating 3D animated sequences of characters, objects and cameras under the creative direction of the animation director and supervisor. You excel at creating high-calibre, dramatic and action-oriented character animation while at the same time meeting production deadlines. You are able to be flexible and adapt to various animation styles.

Responsibilities

Work from storyboard/animatic to create complex animation sequences as assigned by the lead animator/ director
Demonstrate a strong sense of performance, physical motion, posing, timing, and weight, including lip sync and camera composition
Block movement in rough animation, refine and polish to completion in final animation
Complete assigned animation within scheduled timeframe
Create quality animation that meets the initial vision, maintaining shot to shot continuity
Based on the production schedule and resources available, ensure and maintain the quality, style, and continuity of your animation
Address required revisions and modify shots as requested
Anticipate, communicate and troubleshoot any creative or technical issues with assistance from key stakeholders
Work collaboratively in a team environment
Actively participate in production-related meetings by offering thoughts and ideas
Assist with and complete production-related assignments
Keep current on animation techniques and technology

Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in animation or film industry
Degree/diploma in fine arts or animation or equivalent experience is an asset
Proficient in 3D animation packages

Strong attention to detail

Production Manager

Description

About the Position

As the show production manager you oversee all aspects of the 3D production process including direct management of your crew. You work with the series director and art director to facilitate creative needs of the project while ensuring the show schedule stays on time and on budget. You report to the director of production resources on show status and crew performance.

Responsibilities

Ensure each episode is advancing as per pre-established timelines and be attuned to the inner workings of each of the departments
Review all script and animatic notes and make sure that the team is responding on time and balancing priorities
Monitor the flow of scripts and ensure that all scripts are clear of any legal issues and meet broadcast standards and practices
Work with production personnel and oversee that all components of the script are production viable
Work with coordinators and ensure that every asset is accounted for and being completed on time for production milestones
Monitor freelance progress in timely delivery of assets
Organize and attend casting sessions
Work with client and producer on the approval of the cast
Attend voice records and oversee the organization
Help establish and support career paths and aspirations of the crew
Directly oversee the daily activities/tasks of production coordinators
Monitor employee attendance and requests for vacation
Partake in employee performance and salary reviews
Terminate contracts, if necessary
Organize the show deliverables and ensure that every client receives everything required as per the production services agreement
Set up and supervise sound and music spotting sessions
Provide and obtain approval for all screen credits for each episode
Review quality control reports for broadcast

Qualifications

4+ years experience in production management or equivalent (experience in 3D animation an asset)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written)

Senior Coordinator

As the senior coordinator you oversee the use of resources on the show by tracking the progress of each department, ensuring milestones are met and addressing client’s notes as needed. You report to the production manager and keep them informed on the status of the crew and schedule.

Responsibilities

CG Supervisor

About the Position

In this brand new role you will supervise, manage, create and administer a digital production pipeline for the amazing slate of shows at our studio. As the CG supervisor, you will ensure that each show has a consistent quality and style as well as ensure the project is of the highest quality possible within the parameters of production schedule and budget.

Responsibilities

Establish the technical direction and technical foundation to meet artistic, budget and schedule parameters
Collaborate with series directors, pipeline supervisor, modeling supervisor, VFX supervisor, team leads and other key members of the leadership team to develop a strong and flexible CG pipeline
Keep a critical eye for creativity, continuity issues between shots, quality control, and technical errors and artifacts
Be an extremely proactive problem-solver and work with pipeline and production to seek the best possible solution ahead of time
Facilitate and maintain open communication with production managers and series directors
Provide troubleshooting for technical issues
Facilitate and develop consensus between technology, artists and production management
Actively contribute to the development of the overall pipeline process
Actively contribute to the workflow decision making process

As the marketing team’s senior graphic designer, you will help guide the way each property is presented to kids, consumers and the industry by creating original concepts for the main marketing image, posters, and other collateral. Responsibilities

Work with the director of marketing and multiple teams both internally and externally to develop and produce promotional material for multiple kids’ properties and studio marketing needs, including ads, printed collateral, swag, websites, promotional artwork and mobile apps
Responsible for developing logos, design elements, guidelines, key artwork and contributing to campaign creative
Develop promotional artwork and assets for outside partners to use in various media including print, web and mobile
Provide quality control on artwork assets received from production teams

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain in-house client/server web-based tracking systems and various production pipeline tools
Assist the software team to oversee issues with the render farm
Liaise with production staff to implement new tools and processes to aid their needs
Invent, analyze, optimize algorithms or data structures to improve our current systems
Help to define the user model and user interface for new and existing production tools

The modelling supervisor will be responsible for establishing workflows, managing the modelling team and training artists. In addition, you will collaborate with other supervisors and directors to ensure that modelling assets are passed across departments with efficiency while meeting the creative and scheduling requirements of the productions.

Responsibilities

Lead modelling department, and establish best practice workflows and guidelines for the team
Establish efficient modelling techniques, topology, naming and other conventions to optimize asset creation process
Prioritize modelling tasks and make sure the production schedule is met
Collaborate with pipeline team, designers, rigging and surfacing artists to achieve both creative and technical goals within scheduled time frames
Work closely with rigging team to establish the best topology and conventions for both modelling and rigging needs
Work closely with pipeline supervisor to establish and develop modelling tools and process before and during production
Mentor and assist other modellers in both technical and creative capacities
Create and update documentation for those workflows and guidelines
