Look Development/Lighting Artist

Position: Look Development/Lighting Artist, Mid-Senior Level

Nvizible is expanding its highly motivated and talented team.
We are currently hiring UK and EU based Look Development Artists with Maya and V-ray experience for positions on feature film projects in Soho London.

Job Description:

• Define all the technical aspects needed to create the appearance of a CG asset
• Create shaders, paint and apply texture maps, and develop the artistic direction of characters and environments
• Create lighting rigs and lighting pipeline
• Render time optimisation
• Devise and mangage render passes output
• Participates as a team member in determining various design and technical solutions; provides feedback to other team members of the production.

Skills:

• 4+ years production experience in feature film vfx
• Expert user knowledge of V-Ray essential
• Knowledge of Prman and Slim a bonus
• Knowledge of Arnold a bonus
• Knowledge of Mari and Photoshop
• Expert knowledge of GI and raytracing techniques
• Experience with IBL techniques
• Ability to write and apply shaders a plus
• Programming experience (MEL, Python, C++, RSL) a plus
• Must be able to work in a team environment, and taking direction from Supervisors
• Knowledge and interest in photography and practical lighting is helpful
• Critical eye for detail, and strong communication skills.
• Traditional artistic and design skills
• Good time management skills
• Proactive and accepting of changes

Compositor

Position: Compositor – Mid and Senior Level

Reports To: 2D Supervisor

Nvizible is expanding its highly motivated and talented team.
We are currently hiring UK and EU based Nuke compositors for immediate positions on feature film projects in London.

Job Description:

Compositors seamlessly integrate all the layers or elements of a shot, including live-action and computer graphic elements. Compositors work closely with Visual Effects Supervisors and CG Supervisors to composite the numerous elements that complete a visual effects shot.

• 2D tracking, matte extraction, layering of elements and colour grading.
• Blue/green screen extractions.
• Seamless integration of live action, miniature and CGI sources.
• Follow production pipelines.
• Develop creative approaches and problem-solving.
• Take part in daily reviews.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have 2-4+ years feature film production experience.
• A good working knowledge of Nuke or Shake.
• Critical eye for detail, and strong communication skills.
• Good knowledge of composition and colour.
• Knowledge and interest in photography and practical lighting is helpful.
• Traditional artistic and design skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Proactive and accepting of changes.

Runner

Location: London
Start Date: August 2013

General:

Running is a foot in the door at Nvizible and a chance to carry on training and progressing into other areas of the business. To replace those that have moved up, we are always looking for bright, motivated, enthusiastic Runners who have a passion to work within VFX.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

• Reception duties – including dealing with switch board calls, welcoming clients, providing refreshments for meetings and clients, booking meeting rooms, cars and couriers.
• Providing support to producers and managers, assisting producers with document presentation where necessary, including adding images to layout, laminating, binding, scanning, photocopying.
• Dispatching and collecting items on request both in house and out of house.
• Delivering post, faxes and other items to staff.
• Taking initiative to manage stocks and supplies, arranging orders where necessary.
• Ensuring refreshments, stationery, general office equipment and loos are well stocked.
• Keeping reception, rest areas and offices clean tidy and well presented.
• Dealing with banking and dispatching of post.

Requirements:

• Must have a knowledge and passion for Visual Effects.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and Email.
• A professional and friendly phone manner.

VFX Coordinator

Nvizible are looking to recruit a UK/EU based VFX Co-ordinator for short term freelance work.

Department: Production
Location: London
Start Date: August 2013
Reports to: Head of Production

Job Description:

• Create work orders and shot sheets.
• Work closely with the VFX Supervisor and editorial client.
• Work with Lead Compositor to prioritize shots within the department.
• Review data management organization and naming conventions with Data Manager.
• Provide updates on work to VFX Producer on a timely basis.
• Schedule and Prep Dailies screenings throughout the day as needed.

Requirements:



• 2 years experience working with clients in the entertainment industry.
• Detail-oriented, good organizational and follow through skills.
• Knowledge of Shotgun or other VFX scheduling program a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
