Pixar Animation Studios is looking for a Recruiter. This person will support the recruitment efforts of the studio by identifying and screening qualified candidates for open requisitions. The qualified candidate is a skilled interviewer who balances the studio’s needs with strengths and needs of the candidate. S/he will be someone who works well in our fast paced, fun, collaborative environment.
Responsible for full cycle recruiting including sourcing candidates (passive and active), interviewing, references and negotiating offers
Builds relationships and collaborates with hiring managers to gain full understanding of hiring needs and guides/manages the recruitment strategies and processes
Reviews and analyzes resumes (and portfolios) for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements and organizational fit
Compiles interview comments and feedback; ensures timely and effective communication and follow through with all candidates and team members from point of applicant to employment
Creates and maintains a network of industry contacts to identify potential candidates for future studio needs
Attends recruiting events (industry conferences, university job fairs, etc.) as needed
Maintains candidate database
Special projects as needed
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Requires 5+ years experience in recruiting; entertainment industry experience a plus
Proven ability to effectively manage the recruiting process as well as relationships with hiring managers
Strong consultative and partnering skills
Experience with Taleo a plus
Macintosh proficiency including Word and Excel
Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to follow through and work independently and in a team environment
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask
Positive attitude and ability to be flexible
Proven ability to solve problems and further improve the recruiting process

Second Assistant Editor

Provide technical and creative support to Editors and Assistant Editors.
Prepare picture media. Import and distribute media (storyboards and shots).
Prepare sound media: process dialog, conduct music and effects searches.
Supervise, log and transcribe scratch and production dialog recording sessions. Monitor levels, log and import scratch and production dialogue from recordings. Make audio masters and organize backup copies. Set up video reference cameras to record actors.
Prepare preliminary music and sound effects. Help maintain the studio sound effects and music databases.
Catalogue and maintain a digital library by tape or file source, description, and film sequence.
Publish accurate cutlists for output.
Output digital files (quicktimes, AAFs, change notes, DCPs, etc.) internally and externally as directed.
Prepare media and perform Quality Control for sound and picture.
Attend screenings in support of presentation quality. Operate Pixar screening room.
Help maintain the studio sound effects and music databases.
Avid daily operational maintenance.
Refine editorial processes, procedures, systems, and databases.
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience as a Assistant Editor or similar exposure to film production including post-production is required. Experience as an Assistant Editor is preferred
Minimum three years experience with Avid Media/Film Composer
Minimum three years experience with Macintosh OS (mid-high level user)
Minimum one year experience with video and audio engineering operations
Experience with After Effects, Photoshop, FileMaker, ProTools, UNIX, HTML preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong ability to multi-task and take a creative, inquisitive approach to problem solving
Must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload in a dynamic environment are required
Willing to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends) and/or overtime on short notice
Able to travel overnight domestically or internationally for recording sessions and screenings.
