Environment Artist

Job Tasks:

Modeling, texturing and creating collision

Work closely with the team to ensure that quality is consistent and cohesive
You have at least 3 years experience working as a 3D artist within the games industry or equivalent. You will be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.

Level Designer

As a Level Designer you will create concepts, paper designs and white-boxes of levels within established sets of rules for OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead. You will work with the Lead Level Designer and the Senior Level Designers to ensure the overall vision of the project is represented on the game levels. You will be involved in all the steps of the level production from the initial layout, prototyping, gameplay validation phase and into final gameplay implementation and optimization phase.

You will develop the maps within the gameplay system constraints, always seeking to ensure the requested rhythm, difficulty, planned script … while keeping it “fun”.

Job Tasks:

Create concepts, paper designs and white-boxes of levels within established sets of rules, in order to produce interesting locations, objectives, puzzles, narrative elements and challenging AI encounters that utilize the core mechanics of the game
Hands-on development of level layouts through all stages of development. You will own and implement levels from concept to final
Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure levels maintain a high quality in design, art, animation, visual effects, lighting and sounds
Participate in design and level design sessions to understand the outline of the game experience
Communicate your designs to the team and ensure consistency with the Lead Designer/ Lead Level Designer‘s vision
Help to maintain and prioritize backlogs and polish lists for your levels
Participate in feedback of other designers’ work
You have at least 1 year experience as a level Designer and one shipped “AAA” title. Solid game industry experience designing solo, multiplayer and co-op levels. You have an excellent sense of 3D game space, gameflow and difficulty tuning with a strong knowledge in professional level design tools. You have experience in designing, building, populating and scripting complex interactivity for next generation products. You are open-minded, adapt to feedback and understand iterative processes. You might have a degree or experience in art, interior or industrial design and you are fluent in English both verbally and in writing.

To be successful in this position you have:

Working knowledge of 3D tools (Maya, 3ds Max, SketchUp)
Working knowledge of 2D tools to create 2D maps (Photoshop, Illustrator)

SDK Engineer (Star VR)

Are you a software engineer with some experience in SDK and framework development and a passion for virtual reality technology? If so, we are looking for someone like you to develop the core tech for StarVR software stack and application platform. Also please visit www.starvr.com for more information our VR headset.
This role requires someone who is interested inmodular software architecture and SDK and API development. It is beneficial to have a history of delivering high quality, highly performing products. Ideally you will also be a gamer or game developer yourself who enjoys VR games and understands the market. You should be interested in VR application development such as Oculus VR, Steam VR, OpenVR, OSVR. A big plus is familiarity with game engine integration of such VR SDKs, as well as hardware specific features such as nVidia VRworks and AMD Liquid VR. Experience with various positional tracking solutions as used in VR is beneficial.

The primary responsibility is to be committed on the development of the SDK & Tools within the agreed upon scope and schedule by the management team. Qualified candidates need to be self-starters and able to operate in a highly dynamic environment.

Excellent in C++ development under Windows using Microsoft Visual Studio
Have knowledge / experience of the development of middleware SDK or low-level software connected with specific hardware (StarVR headset)

Junior FPS Animator

Job Tasks:

Create first person weapon animations for in-game behavior
Collaborate with Senior and Lead Animators with respect to Art, Engineering and Design teams to define the animation style, produce pre-visualizations and present concept ideas to the team
Understand game-required techniques such as blending, tagging, state machine transitions, animation blending trees, compression, etc.
Work with the Producers, Department Leads and Animation team to establish methods to improve the production pipeline, tools and systems that will benefit the integrity of the animations for the studio
Assist in troubleshooting animation and technical issues
Clearly communicate updates and concerns in a timely manner to the Production team to ensure project goals are met and delivered to the highest level
You are an experienced Maya and or Motion Builder user and have an excellent understanding of the principles of animation. Experience and knowledge of the Unreal game engine is an advantage. We also consider a love of first person and weapon animation and a strong interest in working on Virtual Reality experiences as strong positives. You must be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.

Accounting Manager/Accountant

Are you a team player who likes to take responsibility from day one? We are looking for someone who wants to further sharpen our Finance team and who is comfortable being in charge of the whole process, from bookkeeping to annual reports and everything in between.

You will report to the General Studio Manager US with a dotted line to the Group accounting in Stockholm, focusing on delivering accounting activities. Therefore experience in preparing the monthly/quarterly reporting package for a global parent would be in your favor. You will be in charge of bank payments, handling supplier invoices, as well as general accounting activities. You will also oversee month-end close including monthly reconciliations, establishing the monthly reports and cash flow budget, tax accounting, as well as accruals. Prepare and submit statutory accounts. Besides from regular accounting activities the role may also includes Ad-hoc projects that may need your immediate attention.

In your role as Business Analyst your responsibility is to understand how a game works as a service for its customers and how the customers behave in it. To do so, You will be leading analytics processes, giving design feedback into current & future titles.
