Environment Artist

Job Description:

As an environment artist you will work in a team where you will have the ownership of full levels, pushing your aesthetical and technical skills to the fullest.
Your interest lies foremost within creating realistic worlds, exteriors, interiors as well as nature.
You need to be able to multi-task, and possess good communication skills both spoken and written.

Responsibilities:

Modeling, texturing and creating collision and implementation of environmental assets
Being able to follow references, concepts, art direction and yet being able to take the work further independently
Ability to take on the responsibility of the full scope of the level environment. Participate and communicate with peers, managers and vendors
Working closely with the team to ensure the quality consistent and cohesiveness

Qualifications:

3 years of experience working as a 3D artist within the games industry or equivalent
Understanding real time graphics, preferably worked on at least one released title
Strong artistic skill set, a good sense of scale and proportions, materials and color/light
Well experienced in Maya, Photoshop and Z-Brush
Ability to work in a team, communicate well and being proactive
Thorough understanding of architecture and nature
Great with time estimations, assessments and prioritizing

Character Artist

Starbreeze and OVERKILL is looking for a character artist to join our kick-ass team.

Job Description:

As a character artist you will work in a small team and take a lot of responsibility.
You are not afraid of taking on challenges and are equally technical driven as you are aesthetical great. The role requires you to be able to multi-task, and possess good communication skills both spoken and written.

Responsibilities:

Modeling, texturing and implementation of character models.

Participate in design choices and communicate with peers, managers and vendors.
Working closely with the team to ensure the quality consistent and cohesiveness.

Qualifications:

Graphics Programmer

Starbreeze and OVERKILL is looking for a graphics programmer to join our kick-ass team.

Job description:

As graphics programmer you will be responsible over the rendering pipeline of our in-house engine. The post requires you to work out of your own initiative, looking for oportunities to improve the graphics of our games with next-gen eye-candy while maintaining stable performance. You will be ambitious and self-driven with a passion for graphics.
The role includes but is not limited to:
Helping our graphics artists with their exporters
Providing artists with performance advice
Advising the art director during the design process
Implementing platform specific graphics features
Profiling the renderer and shaders
Debugging
Porting to new platforms
Overseeing outsourced porting work
Being responsible over your own work
Being approachable, friendly and eager to help

Qualifications:

Fluency in spoken & written English.
C++, object-oriented coding style.
Multi-threaded software design.
Direct3D 9 and Direct3D 11.
OpenGL.
Working experience as graphics programmer.

Additional Qualifications:

Any graphics profiling software
Any shader profiling software
Maya tools scripting
Please, provide us with relevant sample code together with your application:
We would preferably like a tech-demo that demonstrates your ability to write a renderer that uses a few interesting features. Even a small-scale, hobby project will do.
Maya UI script or exporter.
Any other code that demonstrates your coding style, tidiness and skill.

Senior Level Designer

Starbreeze and OVERKILL is looking for a senior level designer to join our kick-ass team.

Job description:

As a senior level designer you will be responsible over scenario design of and creation of levels using our in-house Diesel engine. The post requires you to work out of your own initiative, looking for opportunities to help your colleagues create better levels, improving already released levels yourself, always trying to maintain a high standard in quality. You will be ambitious and self-driven with a passion for level design.

Qualifications:

At least 3 released AAA titles as Level Designer / Senior Level Designer
An eye for detail, and the desire to always deliver high quality
Flexible and can take care of other tasks regarding level design (Art, Layout, Lighting)
Creative and responsible, able to distribute tasks and deliver on deadlines
Proficiency in Max / Maya and texturing
Extremely good knowledge in level scripting (Kismet / Hammer)
Social and easy to work in a group
Willing to take the criticism from other team members and adapt accordingly
Being responsible over your own work
Fluent in English, both in writing and in speech
