A Third Floor Apprenticeship offers participants an experience of a lifetime, providing insight and opportunity into your chosen career field within a respected, well-renowned studio. Opportunities for paid apprenticeships are available depending on production demands and are three months in length. We are currently looking for apprentices in PreVis, PostVis and TechVis!
Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or registered alien with the right to work in the United States and provide proper documentation.

What TTF Apprentices can expect:
Apprenticeships are a full-time (40 hours per week) commitment of (3) months on-site at The Third Floor’s LA location.
While this is a paid apprenticeship TTF Apprentices are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
Apprentices are welcomed into the facility and provided with access to the facility, given a login, workspace, and an email account. Apprentices will be provided with a computer workstation and access to all applicable production tools and software.
A real-time, hands-on experience: An opportunity to interact with TTF creative professionals at all levels and from diverse disciplines within the company.
First-hand experience of the production pipeline and processes of PreVis, PostVis and TechVis work.
We match the skills and interests of the apprentice with the best suited activities in the studio, and structure an appropriate apprenticeship for each individual.
Every effort will be made to answer questions from our apprentices and help them to pursue their goals. With the understanding that we are in production, The Third Floor is eager to maximize the TTF Apprenticeship experience.
What we expect from our TTF Apprentices:
Apprentices must understand that The Third Floor is an operating fast paced production studio engaged in the creation of digital assets for feature films, commercials and other creative projects.
Apprentices should be flexible, open, overtly proactive and willing to seek out opportunities as they arise.
Apprentices need to be sensitive to the time constraints of employees.
Apprentices must sign a standard nondisclosure agreement and adhere to all The Third Floors policies

The Third Floor offers apprenticeships in all areas of PreVis, PostVis and TechVis depending on the need of our teams.
What are the qualifications to be considered for a TTF Apprenticeship?
Major in computer animation, digital arts, computer science or a related field.

A passion for creativity, hard work and making a difference.
We do not provide internship opportunities for high school students at this time.
How many apprentices do you accept every year?
The number varies as the needs of our productions increase or decrease of the life of the project, but on average we bring in 12 apprentices each calender year.
Do you provide housing or transportation for apprentices?
No, you’ll need to find a place to live while you are here with us and a way to get to and from work.
If I do a great job as an apprentice does that mean that you’ll offer me a job when the program is over?
While we would like to hire all of our TTFU successes we are not always able to do so.
