Lead Animator

We are currently looking for a Lead Animator for our next feature film project. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a broad range of character animation skills. This includes a deep understanding of the principles of animation, and how to best utilise those principles to create performance that supports both the characters and story goals of the future film. Description:

Demonstrate total mastery of animation skills within a specific genre.
Consistently delivering shots on a high quality level.
A deep understanding of character rigging.
Mentor and lead by example less experienced artists, providing support, guidance and instruction in areas that provide for their artistic professional growth.
Meet projects deadlines/milestones, as set by the production department.
Self-motivated, proactive and able to demonstrate initiative.
Actively participate in team/department meetings.
Follows work progress of his team.
Ensure quality of work and meet deadlines.

Requirements:

Strong artistic and technical background.
Minimum of 5 years feature film or equivalent high-res (2K) experience.
Expert Maya user.
Great communication and problem solving skills.
Ability to work well within a team.
Good English language skills.
EU citizenship or an existing German work permit.

Animation Supervisor

We are currently looking for an experienced Animation Supervisor to work on our next feature film project. In collaboration with the VFX Producer and VFX Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing and maintaining the continuity of performance of all digital characters or creatures on a project. This role requires in deep knowledge of the relevant technologies in the field of CG animation.
Location: Munich, Germany

Responsibilities

Supervision of an animation team at a project level, providing artistic leadership.
Collaboration with Producers and VFX Supervisors in creating high quality animation.
Directing and maintaining the continuity of performance of all digital characters or creatures on a project.
Monitor the project progress to ensure delivering results.
Work closely with Modeling and Rigging departments

Requirements

5 + years proven experience in a Supervisory role in Animation / VFX film industry.
Understanding of the principles of animation, both character acting and full body.
In deep knowledge of the relevant technologies in the field of CG animation.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to confidently supervise a team.
Previous experience mentoring and recruiting animation artists.
Excellent organisational, communication and project management skills.
Fluent English language skills.

CG Supervisor

We are currently looking for an experienced CG Supervisor to join our studio in Munich. The CG Supervisor works closely with the VFX Supervisor and Producer to oversee CG aspects of a VFX project content. Provides Technical and Artistic leadership. Works with Producer to facilitate the scheduling of artists and resources and works with the VFX Supervisor to provide artistic and technical notes and direction to the team.
Location: Munich, Germany.

Responsibilities

The CG Supervisor will oversee the teams at a project level, providing technical and artistic leadership.
Collaborates with Producers and VFX Supervisors in creating high quality visual effects.
Work closely with Studio Heads to ensure client’s requirements and specifications are being meet.
Supervise and mentor CG artists of various levels through the production on time and budget.
Monitor the project progress to ensure that visual, technical and quality targets are being met.
Provide clear direction to all CG groups, setting clear objectives, monitoring process and delivering results.
Provide daily feedback and guidance to the CG artists.
Managing the day to day production needs.

Requirements

Previous VFX film industry experience, including experience with team management and task assignment.
5 + years proven experience in a Supervisory role and minimum of 3 years general production experience.
A thorough understanding of technical/pipeline issues and a typical VFX production environment.
A good knowledge and experience of all 3D areas (modeling, rigging, texturing, look development, creature FX, lighting and FX) and specialized in Lighting TD.
Previous experience in training, mentoring, and recruiting CG artists.
Excellent organisational, communication and project management skills.
Excellent English language skills.

Lead Character Rigging

Trixter Munich is looking for a Lead Character Rigger to work on a new exciting feature film project. Lead Rigger will be responsible of creating, establishing and maintaining high quality characters for our projects. We are looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic candidate with a talent and passion for future films.
Location: Munich, Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the CG Supervisor, Leads and Modelling team to evaluate rigging production needs.
• Maintain animation control of rigging systems for complex characters in Maya.
• Oversees the characters and props rigging through the animation pipeline.
• Review the work of the Rigging team working on the project.
• Develop realistic rigs with a strong focus on body and facial rigging.
• Evaluate and recommend relevant external plugins and scripts.
• Develops tools and plug-ins to optimize animation and rigging workflow.

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience in developing character models and textures or an outstanding portfolio.
• Ability to rig characters and objects in a realistic manner.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of anatomy for both humans and animals.
• Good knowledge of Maya, Mel and Python scripting skills.
• Knowledge of C++ is a big plus.
• Good communication skill and ability to work interactively with the rest of the team.
• Good English language skills.
• EU citizenship or an existing German work permit.

Compositing Supervisor

Trixter Film in Munich looking for an experienced Compositing Supervisor. The ideal candidate should be extremely organized and motivated, with the desire to work within international team of highly-skilled and experienced artists.

Location: Munich, Germany.

Responsibilities

· Collaboration with the VFX Supervisor and VFX Producer regarding shot assignments, timings and deliveries.
· Technical supervision and visual guidance to compositing artists.
· Liaise directly with the Production and CG Supervisor.
· Color timing and management of sequence continuity Identifies problems and effectively implements Solutions
· Estimate time-lines with producer to ensure all deliveries are met
· junior compositors as necessary
· Communicating in a clear, appropriate, timely, precise and organised manner
· Determines technical approach and pipeline for compositing
· Technical problem solving on a daily basis
· Initiate & support possibilities for development of 2D workflows and pipeline improvements
· Work with other department experts to increase productivity and efficiency
· Communicate with 2D Leads to ensure all renders are completed.
· Drive Dailies and production meetings.

Requirements

· Minimum 6 years of supervisory experience in a VFX production environment.
· Strong artistic background and expert user of Nuke compositing software.
· Demonstrated leadership qualities.
· Excellent Time Management and organizational skills.
· Able to formulate efficient methodologies and workflows and lead a team of artists from turnover to final delivery.

Hair&Fur Grooming Artist

We are currently looking for a highly talented Hair & Fur Grooming Artist with experience in creating high-end CG Characters for our feature film project. You will be responsible for grooming photorealistic hair and fur, as well as lighting and rendering hair/fur assets using Arnold & Yeti. Location: Munich, Germany. Responsibilities:

Demonstrate artistic eye for styling and grooming.
Apply and simulate hair / fur to CG characters in Yeti.
Ability to maintain photorealistic level of finish.
Creatively solve problems and achieve art direction for a shot.
Ability light hair/fur assets in Arnold a major plus.
Work inside a pipeline with existing conventions and scripts.

Pipeline TD

TRIXTER Film is currently looking for a Pipeline TD to join our team as soon as possible.
Long-term contract of minimum 1 year.
Location: Munich, Germany.

Responsibilities:

Writing pipeline tools and further developing the pipeline
Working in collaboration with the Supervisors and end users to determine the best solutions
Assists artists and other technical directors in the use and understanding of the pipeline and software architecture
Ongoing research to recommend improvements to workflows in order to improve productivity or communication
Maintaining of tools including troubleshooting and optimization
Detect failures in the Pipeline, propose solutions, and communicate this changes to the development team
Thorough documentation of all development and updating as necessary

Requirements:

Programming proficiency in Python, Qt (PySide / PyQt). C/C++ is a plus
Proficiency in developing for Linux.
Knowledge of source code management as Git
In depth knowledge of Maya, Nuke, Mari, Houdini, Katana, Arnold.
Understanding principles of animation and VFX production pipelines.
Ability to prioritize production tasks in a frequently-changing environment
Ability to work self-reliable in diverse types of different projects
Excellent communication, collaboration and problem solving skills required
Good English language skills

Senior VFX Producer

Trixter Film is currently looking for a senior vfx Producer. The Producer role carries significant responsibilities both internal and external to the facility. From the bidding process to driving a production schedule and managing a budget, being effective in this role is crucial to a well-organized project.

Responsibilities

Provide cost estimations and bids in collaboration with the VFX Supervisor.
Develop project schedules and planning their implementation.
Assess the project’s visual and technical challenges of development work.
Briefing the VFX Coordinator about project specifications, daily workflow, weekly goals and schedule.
Conducting a kick-off and wrap up meeting for the project.
Controlling the project progress to ensure that budget, schedule and quality targets are being met.
Serving as a project’s main contact for clients as well as the production’s Supervisors and Lead Artists.
Work with subject area experts to increase productivity and efficiency.
Initiate & support continuous improvement of processes and structures.
Taking part in client approval sessions and, if necessary in internal reviews.
Assign shots in collaboration with the VFX Supervisor and making sure artists know what is expected in terms of schedule and quality.
Acquiring information from the client when (and which) project details can be announced on our website and on IMDB and from which date on material can be used in the company’s / artist’s showreels.
Motivate all team members and ensure a strong culture of shared values, trust, openness, responsible behaviour and a sense of community.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years in-depth experience with feature film visual effects and CG workflow.
Excellent project organisation, communication and social skills.
Proficient knowledge of business administration and legal aspects in the VFX industry
