Umedia is an international film group specialized in the production of international feature-film projects. Its activities include production, coproduction, financing (through internal funds) and visual effects (VFX). It has offices in Los Angeles, London, Paris and Brussels.
As part of its development in North America, Umedia is launching a Post-production studio in Vancouver, focused on visual effects, animation, color finishing and mastering for feature films and platform TV series. To support this new entity, Umedia is looking for a HR& Office assistant.

You will be a key player in the building up of the studio working closely with the leadership of the company on a day-to-day basis. You will lead the recruitment and talent scouting efforts and you will be the initial contact for all visitors and employees at the studio and look after the daily needs of the office. Your direct responsibilities include:
You support the CEO on the recruitment process (reception of applications, scheduling of interviews)
You’re responsible for the onboarding and departure process.
You ensure the organisation and coordination of HR and internal events, meetings, etc.
You’re in charge of the reception desk: you meet and greet all visitors, create a welcoming and warm environment, determine their needs and direct them to the appropriate employee or location.
You’re responsible of purchasing general furniture for the office and you manage their stock. (Stationery, office supplies, refreshments, snacks, etc.)
You help coordinate the training sessions for the team.
You provide administrative support to the team when needed.
You support the CEO on day to day tasks and projects.
We’re looking for someone who is full of charisma and charm, who is proactive and has a positive “can-do” attitude with a lot of attention to detail.
You have a superior degree (RPR, CHRP).
You have 2-3 years’ experience.
You are skilled or you have a previous experience in HR.
You have the ability to multi-task, you are rigorous and like challenges.
You are looking for a varied job where you can apply your knowledge of the acts and boards of a company life.
You are autonomous, rigorous and demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset with a high sense of responsability. Knowledge of the VFX and North American film industry is an asset.
