Financial Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Financial Analyst
Department: Production Finance
Reports to: VP, Production Finance
Status: Exempt
Classification: Full-time Staff

Purpose of the job:

Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of weekly reports designed to assist
production accountants and producers with analyzing the financial health of projects, as well as reporting
actual and projected forecasted results to senior level management. Additionally, this position will support
the VP, Production Finance with various studio-level analyses on an ad hoc basis.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Design, architect, and implement a suite of analysis reports for ongoing productions
• Provide studio-level financial analysis as directed
• Maintain historical repository of show analytics and analyze for future benefit
• Assist with spreadsheet enhancements for key production finance documents
• Maintain master production finance database of project statuses
• Assist production accountants with complex spreadsheets and special projects

Education and/or Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting/Finance
• Computer literacy in a PC environment with proficiency in spreadsheet and database applications
required; Exposure to Oracle a plus

Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificate:

• Diplomacy, discretion, reliability, and a sense of humor are critical
• Must be flexible and have the ability to work well as part of a team
• Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, creative
environment and with all levels of personnel
• Ability to prioritize work and remain detail oriented
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required

Junior Producer – Commercials

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Junior Producer, Commercials
Department: Commercials
Reports to: Vice President & Executive Producer,Commercials
Status: Non-Exempt
Classification: Full Time, Staff

Purpose of the job:

At Digital Domain, a Junior Producer (hereinafter referred to as “JP”) is an integral role for the commercials
division. This position is often a place where all job information comes together and is then disseminated
inter-company as well as outer facing, in all stages of production, from a client’s first call to our studio, to
internal team meetings.
There are a fair amount of administrative duties for which the JP is responsible and the ability to prioritize
and re-prioritize daily is crucial.
The JP also acts as a commercial representative to other divisions in Digital Domain, including the Digital
Studio – therefore an effective communicator with a pleasant and positive work demeanor is imperative. As
the holder of a substantial amount of job information and workflow, organization is also key.
The Commercials Executives and Producers rely heavily on this role and consider it a place for growth and
development.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

● Support for VP, EP, Sr. VFX Producers and Bidding Producers on projects as needed.
● Prepare Wiredrive reels for Directors, VFX Sups, Mothership and Digital Domain.
● Standard client contact: following up on bids, pitches, etc.
● Asset download, organization and distribution.
● File, budget, bid spec, document download, organization and distribution.
● Continuity as contact between Mothership/DD with live action director, production house, agency,
client up until a VFX Producer is on board.
● Possible time on set with the agency/client.
● Schedule management and follow up phone calls regarding pitches, treatments and bids (working
alongside Bidding Producer).
● Projects bidding pending award: Shotgun entry of preliminary staff requirements and a temporary
schedule for Scheduling Dept. to forecast future staffing.
● Running pitches and acting as pitch coordinator. Keeping pitch reference materials and assets
tracked per set schedule.
● Keeping an updated Google Doc on artist/vendor payments and in turn sync up with Finance and
Accounting on said payments as they come due or are past due.
● Preparing and following up on service agreements/invoices for freelance artists and vendors.
● Extensive note taking during client/agency/team meetings and calls, plus distribution of said notes.
● Daily forecasts EOD for next day’s events/deadlines.
● Setting up of team meetings, client meetings, conference calls for creative calls/bidding
calls/content driven pitches.
● Coordination of agency/client presentations both in studio and offsite which may include handling
catering, organization of software + hardware + arranging content reels for viewing.
● Updating and maintaining bidding documents both in real time for bidding meetings and daily as
necessary
● Updating Production Meetings notes in real time during commercials production meetings +
dissemination of said notes to key stakeholders
● Obtaining/gaining approval of credit list in order to send to client for sign off and forwarding on to
PR/Marketing.
● Finalize digital wrap books and schedule final wrap meeting/post mortem at close of project.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience Required:

● Bachelor’s degree in film, art, communications or related field desired.
● Demonstrated organizational, project management and leadership skills.
● Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
● Knowledge of Shotgun or other production tracking software preferred.
● Knowledge of asset management software a plus.
● Knowledge of Linux a plus.
● Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
● Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
● Must have prior experience as a coordinator and/or scheduler, preferably in a Commercials capacity

production needs.
