Love Bite Vfx Breakdown by Digital Golem Studio
Digital Golem handled all the visual effects for “Love Bite”, a British teen comedy horror film featuring a werewolf hungry for virgins!

We had around 70 shots to deal with, of which 55 with the fully CGI werewolf. Our role started with the design and research for the look of the beast, exchanging ideas and references with the director, until we settled on a specific look combining wolf, gorilla, and dog attributes. We then proceeded create the model, complete with muscle system and fur, and then prepared it for the animators.

Meanwhile we supervised the VFX shoot days in Scotland, where we advised the crew on the best way to approach the shots, and of course took all the on-set reference and survey information necessary to optimise the creation of our effects.
The whole post-production process was followed by the director remotely using an online job tracking and exchange system, which meant that we could have feedback and post updates without the director needing to be in Brussels all the time.
