Procedural Modeling

This is an early sneak peek at procedural modeling tools for MODO. These tools are intended to help 3d content creators who need to create an item driven by changing parameters in MODO. Sometimes that is a result of design feedback, variation, or a desired visual effect. This robust new system is being developed to support presets, 3rd party developers, and a nodal relationship graph. As always this is just a work in progress and the details of the actual shipping features might change.

Procedural Modeling + MeshFusion (detailed)

This is an early sneak peek at MODO’s procedural modeling tools working in conjunction with MeshFusion. In this video Darrel Anderson demonstrates a Profile Intersection toolkit that was built using the new procedural modeling tools, B-splines, sweeps, and additional enhancements to MeshFusion strip properties. These tools are intended to help 3d content creators who need to create an item driven by changing parameters in MODO. Parameters can be animated or keyframed for various design variations or other motion effects. This is only an example file of what can be built with the very robust procedural modeling system coming in MODO 10.1, it’s just a work in progress and the details of the actual shipping features might change.
