What sets PIXEL apart from other conferences?
To quote recent speaker Michael Shantzis (Pixar):
“I actually am really impressed with this conference. You know, one of the reasons is that I’ve been to many conferences in my life, and to be in a conference in such an intimate setting – not to mention such a beautiful place – actually makes it really, really easy to be here!”
Being a comparatively small conference, PIXELvienna’s picturesque, yet comfortable surroundings allow you to share your thoughts with other CG professionals, students and enthusiasts. You can mingle and chat with people in a stress-free atmosphere, enjoy a night of partying at the PIXEL Party while watching talented artists locking horns in a live PIXEL Battle, and even have a beer and a personal discussion with one of your CG idols there.
PIXELvienna, established in 2007, arose from the drive to connect computer graphics professionals from Austria and all around the world and to build a community to share experience and knowledge. While the conference has grown in size and importance over the past years, its core idea has not changed. PIXELvienna is a non-profit undertaking and entirely organized and operated by the Austrian computer graphics community. A team of volunteers is working tirelessly all year to make the conference an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
