ZBrush SUMMIT 2015 Presentation – Riot Games Featuring Willem Van Der Schyf
Willem van der Schyf – During a character’s conceptual development, the artists tasked with producing the final assets are generally not part of the creative process, which leaves a lot of valuable input untapped.
In this talk, I will show a more iterative approach that we’ve started using at Riot to create new champions for League of Legends. I will demonstrate some of the key tools to make this process possible: Dynamesh, Decimation Master, UV Master and an optimized production pipeline which greatly accelerates the time it takes to get low poly geometry down the production chain.
